I have a Lloydz IAC valve on my 08 vision and it has really cut out the popping on the 1-2 & 2-3 shifts .

I am looking at installing a PC V with Auto Tune. Can the IAC valve stay in place or does it need to be removed ?

Will they work together ?

I will be curious about what you hear from others. I have an '08 Vision as well and both my dealer and the Power Commander folks told me that the PC-V wouldn't work with the '08 set up. I was told the PC-V is for '09 and up model years. So I went with Lloyds VFC-III and it works fine with the IAC...but I had my IAC put in the same time as my other Lloydz mods. For the record, I am plenty happy with the VFC-III.

The IAV can stay in place with any fuel controller and will continue to benefit you

Well, there you go guys. This is exactly the problem with the PCV. It's not the tuner, it's the company. I tried to deal with these Jack-a's and got no support or interest from them. Finally, I called them up and they told me not to buy one because it "didn't appear to be designed for my bike". I finally realized that I wasn't going to chase their stuff with my money. They don't have a real vested interest in Victory and their "techs" are bottom wrung. There are numerous posts in the forums about this when the PCV was introduced suppposedly for the Vision. But then after a year we weren't even sure it was compatible with the Vision. The website showed it was but their C/S didn't know. That's pretty darn screwed up!!! Powercommander is not going to be much help to you when it comes to Victory. Fortunately, Lloyd has picked up the slack for them many a times. You will have much more luck asking Lloydz than Power Commander. Do a search in the forums and you'll see what I mean.

That is the problem with calling PC directly, a couple of the guys are really knowledgeable and the others are simply not.

I guess I wish I knew that back in Sept when PC told me the PC-V would not work with the '08. I didn't know any better, so didn't think of asking Lloyd. Either way, I was happy to give my business to Lloyd and use his VFC-III with his other components. But as I said, I am more than happy with Lloydz products!

I have this configuration installed and believe that the autotune module and IAV are both adjusting air.
Lloyd can comment but I think proper tuning should be:
1. set PCV in learning mode (either with wire shunt to both map ports or a switch)
2. ride through a tank worth of gas while autotune makes trim suggestions to match the target AFR table of the map you have loaded in the PCV for your config. (accept the trims and save the map to PCV of course)
3. Once tuned close to your AFR table, disable learning mode
4. Start tweaking IAV per installation instructions to eliminate pops

I havent compared all my data yet but I believe if you start tweaking the IAV while autotune is learning and making trims, the AT module will counter any air changes made by turning the iav knob.

Running PCV and air control valve. Works great! Better than with the Lloydz tuner to the tune of 6 hp. Having said that, the Lloydz package is much more of a general tune and easier and faster (read no dyno necessary). Than the PC.
