I had the new firmware update done and still have the following CB problems, anyone have an answer for a fix.

There is still no CB transmissions through the external speakers.

The CB does work through the headset helmet speakers, only one speaker and the volume is so low you can barely hear it.

Also, when a transmission comes through the headset speaker it does not mute the radio.

I am hoping someone can help, I am getting frustrated with Victory not being able to correct it.

Thanks.

The CB does not come through the external speakers and it shouldn't. I need to check mine again but I think I am getting CB transmission through both speakers in the helmet. The volume could be louder and I think Victory is working on this. My system is muting the radio or other sound source when transmitting or receiving. This can be set through the mode options on the center console.

I currently have firmware version 4.13A and it fixed the problem in version 4.11 of the transmission on the CB only working for 6 seconds and then cutting out while depressing the push to talk button.

My CB works great and it comes out of both speakers in my helmet. Sound level is also high enough.

Here's a couple things I read in another thread that could help.
1. One poster found out the dealer plugged the speaker input into a line level plug.
2. Another poster didn't see where there is a separate volume control for the CB (you should have a radio volume, CB volume, and intercom volume.)

That's all I know.

I am wondering why the CB transmissions will not come out of the external speakers, I have had several HD and a Goldwing and they do come out of those speakers. I have the volume control up all the way for the CB. I am going to wait a week and take it back to another dealers hopefully a new update will be available.

The info/tainment is something new for Victory and the guys that sevice them. Seems like most of them are genuinely trying to resolve the issues. May take some time but in the end will be worth it.

My dealer had my bike for over two weeks to get my CB working.

They did not fix it. Furthermore, they have basicly thrown their hands in the aire and said I dont know.

What a bunch of crap.

I am wondering why the CB transmissions will not come out of the external speakers,

My question would be why would you want it to?
I like it in my helmet and that's where my microphone is too.

I usually run the radio on both the headset and the external speakers, when the CB kicks in the music keeps playing on the external speakers. I like that since when I am in town folks can't tell I am yakking on the CB or intercom.

The reason I like for the external speakers to have the CB transmissions is many times while moving the squelch frequency changes and you will get squeals, etc. through the headset that are really annoying. I have ridden 24,000 miles in the past few years on three week trips with a friend and when we are communicating with each other we have found the external speakers are better for us. I am very surprised to hear that the external speakers are not muted when you receive a transmission through the headset.

Ok that makes sense.

Yes, the external speakers don't mute. They can be turned of, but I like my music coming out of both the helmet speakers and the external speakers (it sounds better to me).

One of the problems with the cb transmission not going out the external speakers for me is that fact that i have to have a helment with head sets just to here the cb, when i had the goldwing i cood at least here what was being said even if i did not have a helment head set.
