Yes, yet another Power Commander V thread.

Just a heads up... you may wish to calibrate the unit to your throttle. Mine was off at WOT.... It's very easy to do.... however, in the online help, it says the engine should be on. I believe that is a misprint, the key should be on, but you should not have the engine actually running, as you go from closed throttle to fully open during the calibration. It only takes a few seconds.

+1 to the throttle calibration. I just installed the PC V with autotune and after a 30 min ride I checked my trim tables to make sure everything was working correctly. Well imagine my surprise when the only AFR adjustments were in the 100% throttle range. So I opened the throttle calibration table and it showed the full open throttle value as 9.4 something, after calibrating the throttle the actual value was 4.2.

So without calibrating the throttle, the autotune AFR adjustments were all out of wack...it was reading 100% throttle when I was actually at about 35-40%. I would assume this also affects the PC V base map (even without the autotune) as it too is based on throttle position and RPMs.

One additional note for any other dummies like me...when you calibrate the throttle within the PC V program, you have to have the key on and also have the KILL SWITCH ON RUN. I tried resetting the calibration multiple times with the kill switch off and couldn't understand why there was no change.

So, again I highly recommend recalibrating your throttle as one of the steps after installing the PC V - with or without the autotune.
