Dont get me started! I applaud the sentiment.

However Lloyd made a factual error, he can still buy shirts and caps made in America. They are readily available if you are willing to look for them, and IF you are willing to pay a premium for them.

I own a couple of TSD Carolinas mades shirts and can tell you they are very high quality. I assure you it doesn't stop with printed t-shirts. We can, if we choose, buy a lot of product that we need and use every day that never touched a port of entry, all we have to do is work at it a little harder to get it.

I see expedient buying decisions like this all the time. some of them are almost humorous. Both major political parties, and a lot of unions unions routinely pass out coffee cups made in China. How stupid does that make them look?

We bitch about there being no jobs and a failing economy, but then we clog the parking lots of retailers who sell cheap imports.

If Lloyds decorated shirt/cap vendor claims he/she cant supply American products it's because they don't want the hassle of a simple google search and then having to step outside their normal vendor list, establish credit terms or pay COD for the product from vendors that they don't normally use.

All he has to do is insist that he wants MADE IN USA, get samples, be willing to pay a premium price, deal with larger minimums, and probably pay up front, wait a bit longer, and then hope his customers are willing to pay for a more expensive LLoyd's shirt because its made in USA.

It takes making the effort, and conscious purchasing decisions. As the saying goes "Can't Never Did", bitching about it wont get the job done, and I know that he knows that as well as the next guy.

You know I went off on rant there and jumped around alittle but I think my writing is clear.

My Buddy says "everyone is so busy with there nose to the grind stone that they cant lift their heads up to see tomorrow". Its so true, everyone talks about how Chinese people work so hard all the time. Well look at us! We're maybe alittle better off (ok alot better off) as we have more material items then most of those poor workers but we still live the rat race and most of us cant stand the thought of going on vacation because the work load is twice as hard as when we return.
Tomorrow I'm gonna request quotes on American made shirts and see what comes back to me.

I use to have my cams made in Turkey, Now there made here in the States, BHAM! 37% increase in cost.
Now I can say everything EXCEPT my shirts are made in the states. It hasnt slowed my cam sales and I hope it doesnt but it was quite a big increase to pass along.

Thanks for all the Support guys.

When I set out to make tee's for my shop I specifically asked the printer to find me American Made shirts. They were a little like "o.k? you know that'll cost more, right?" and it took several hours of searching, but they came up with some and I have to say they are very nice. Now I can't sell them for $12 like some other shops do (mine are $20 after tax), but I can say they are a top-quality shirt that will last, made in USA, printed in USA.

+1, Not sorry I started this but we all need to really look at what we purchase, as a retailer, wholesaler or consumer..... I for one feel that even if I pay $5 more for an American T-Shirt from Lloydz so be it. It's giving back to the manufacturing that made this country great. I know I have bought shit from China but will be better at looking before the purchase. Got Pins and shirts at Tomahawk and and have not looked at where they are made but I am cringing already. I Thank Lloyd for expressing his thoughts as it made me think about what I am doing. Three years ago he helped me out with my "buckin bronc" on my 03 TCD, and I have never looked back. Good info and the best customer service and parts we can all hope for!!!! In my book, Lloyd you rock, so rock on my Brother and as I always say:

Ride hard, ride fast but above all ride safe and free.....

++1 I'm ok with paying more as long as the quality is there as well. In most cases, I have found American made good are higher quality and worth the extra price. I in fact do look at labels for everything I buy and try my best to buy American.
