Savannah, GA -Year round riding!! Yay! | Ok, hubby and I put my highway pegs on this week. (Note: First Vision Accessory installation where the directions ended up looking worse than the installation actually was. I could've probably done this one by myself, but I saw "Drill" in the instructions and got scared and got hubby to help me.I get scared drilling anything on my bike. You don't want to see the repair that my son and I did on the strike plate on the door on our shed a few weeks ago....) Anyway, I rode about 150 miles today, and it was great! This is the first time I have ever had highway pegs on my bike that I could actually use! Usually, my short little legs can barely touch the pegs! It was great being able to have toom to adjust my riding postion!! ****End dingy chick post**** Now back to your regularly scheduled message board.

Salisbury, NC | Also by putting them pegs on, you are now ready for summer riding. The motor heat is greatly reduced by speading your legs just a touch. (Nothing bad meant by that.) I have had the pegs since day one and they make a great difference. ET

Savannah, GA -Year round riding!! Yay! | Yes, the main thing, outside of just being able to shift position for comfort) that I immediately notice yesterday, was the escape from the engine heat. My ankles and shins normally roast. Usually, I wear half chaps for this and for protection when I have to back the bike up. If I stand up really straight and tall, and I have my riding boots on, I am 5'5". I have 27 1/2" inseam. My hubby is 6'5", and has a 35" inseam. There are very few bikes that we can both ride in the same set up. We both have VTX 1800 Neos. I have duelly's on mine and I regularly roast my shins on that one when parking, too (it has a 27 1/2" seat height). He towers over his (he has put lower, progressive springs on the rear on his, says I don't need them on mine....  I think he likes watching me manhandle it!!!)

SC, Bluffton | GAgirlTrixie, I think I know one reason your install might have been easier. You have the
Premium model. I read on the other board (the upside down one) the the chrome Premium
models, the holes are already in the bottom. The folks with the base model floorboards
do have to drill some holes in the base plate.
When we were in Myrtle Beach this last week-end (fun), I showed the wife the highway pegs
on the Visions at the Victory Tent. She gave me the okay, meaning they weren't too ugly. 
She also okayed any GL1800 add ons.
Who had the Cherry Vision from West Virginia? Thank you for showing us the first trunk
rack in person. We have had the rack in bubble wrap for a long time (No chrome forks
freebee). It looked further back on the top trunk then we wanted, but maybe it works?

P.S. No, the Kawasaki VN2000 took us to M.B. The Vision stayed home. We took & bought
too much for the Vision to carry.
