An outfit named Zeal Optics www.zealoptics.com is marketing goggles for skiers and snowboarders that seem to be right up a serious riders alley. Their Z3 model ($550.00) have an altimeter, speedometer, and blue tooth capability along with a polarizing lens and they don't look too bad. Another model coming along will be the iON @ less than $400.00 that will have all the above plus a centrally mounted camera lens about eyebrow height above eye level with the ability to send movies from the goggles.
I know some here fret about not being able to make phone calls from the bike (personally, I keep my phone in my pocket when riding, there's no one I need to talk to THAT MUCH)

Really cool.

A few years back Cadilac was toying with HUD on the windshield it had infer Red and made roadside critters easy to spot and avoid.

I would love to have HUD on my bike like my Vette has. You get so used to it that you stop looking at the gauges. It's a real disappointment when you switch to the truck that doesn't have it.

For you guys with android phones, there is a program that you can download that puts a heads up display on your dash via your android phone. It is called Hudy pro and the speedo on it is very accurate.

Thats the thing I miss most about my vette. You really get used to the HUD.

I'm a bit stunned that it hasn't become a regular item on vehicles. I had it on a '01 Buick Park Avenue, the HUD is sweet, and when I would get out of that car and into my '05 RX8, I would constantly be looking for the HUD.

I am gonna try that android app, $0.99 for the app, I'll give it a go.
