Has anyone installed a PC-V after installing the Victory S1L2 kit and 50 state legal Map? I am curious if this will make a noticeable difference. I know that the Map is working great. I just had the latest one installed last week and there is no popping or excess heat from the pipes. Seems to be running just right. I almost hate to mess with it, but just want to know if I can gain anything else out of it with just the fueler (besides more problems.) I do not plan on doing any more engine mods to the bike at this time.

a 50 state legal map?? What? To my knowledge nothing but stock is legal in all states.

There were about 6 different maps that were available for my bike. (3) 49 state legal maps and (3) 50 state legal maps. Stock, S1L1, S1L2.

Legal in what respect? THis always interests me as I have always assumed that most performance mods are illegal to some degree. This assumption is based on the thought that the factory is going to get all the power it can from the engine while honoring emission and sound (loudness) standards. Perhaps once you buy it those standards change?

Furthermore I have no idea what a S1L2 Vic kit consists of. I have CFR exhaust as I liked the sound better and I bought a PC - 5 as I did not want to pay the outrageous price for a MAP upgrade to my ECM. (You cannot adjust a Vic MAP but the PC- 5 is adjustable on many levels with a simple connection to a laptop computer and the supplied software)

Addidionally, I do not understand what you mean by different PC 5 maps for your set up. There may be a few MAPS out there, but all should be very close for the same set up, as the "MAP" is determined by your set up and that doesn't change. (Set up equaling mods to your engine, air flow, etc) Of course the best "MAP" is obtained by getting one custom done on a Dyno, or a close alternative would be the AutoTune Module that connects to the PC 5.

Anyhow, would be interesting to know the sound and emission legality of aftermarket pipes and ECM modules/upgrades, etc. whether those changes come from Ma Vic or other vendors. Any lawyers out there care to lend an ear?

Also, for those living in CA apparently a new law really restricts changes to your exhaust on models made after 1-1-2013!! Ouch! It's a sound thing apparently.

The S1L2 Map actually comes with two emissions stickers that has to be placed in the left hand side case. The only reason I could think that they would not do this to every bike would be the fact that they could not make extra money on us for the upgrades after we purchase the bikes. I have spoken to several people (dyno and dealers) about this and the consensus is that I will only pick up a few HP with the addition of the PC V. Not really worth the cost of the PCV and a good dyno tune. They all agree that I already picked up most of the HP already with the high flow K&N type Air Filter, Exhaust and map. I was told that if it is running well with the map then to just leave it alone. So I have decided to just leave it as is for now.
