How long did you have to wait once you called?
All new Victorys come with the first year free and I've continued to renew it since its short money but I've never had to actually use it. I think those who have can speak to whether its a worthwhile service or if there are cheaper/better alternatives.

New York State | I had my battery die in Sturgiss on the way to the Victory Owners ride bumber to bumber traffic in 90 + heat.
Called the VRA had me on a flat bed and to Rapid City Victory for a replacement battery back on the road in about 3 hours. I missed the ride but got to meet some of the designers Rupert Stoddard and Arlen Ness.
Never needed them before but being I was a long way from home and friends it really helped to have someone to call. |

I have had it since 2003 and had to use it once and Sturgis. Since it was Sturgis the wait was about four hours.
I have renewed it every year since at $35 a year it's pretty cheap for $200 worth of coverage.

Brighton, TN | Had to use it once and the ham fisted SOB that picked my bike almost destroyed the side panels cause he wanted to tie it down to the handlebars. Even after multiple attempts at trying to get him to tie it down properly. The saga exists on this site somewhere. Prefer to keep my dollars and the need for it I will just pay for when it arrives. That way I don't have to argue with the Tow truck driver and the company telling him to pick my bike up. It was an argument on both ends. Frustrating! |

New York State | Wow sorry to hear that the Truck that picked me up in Sturgiss had a Kit that holds the bike upright on wheels then he pulled that onto the flatbed with a winch He strapped the Vision to the kit and then locked the whole unit to the flat bed very professional |

| Worked great for me, when my transmission let go. About and hour wait, tied down correctly, and delivered to dealer where it sat for over two months. |

| I have used it. My problems were with the drivers. Ran out of gas near Hartford 2-1/2 hours later no truck, caught a ride when I pulled into the station my phone rang. Roadside called to see how I was making out. It turned out the truck did not have a radio and went on another call. My my wiring crapped out at Sturgis the truck driver was real careful with loading Anny. The problem came while I was sitting on her and the truck bed was raised and he released the clamp on one side causing the bike to lay over on the other side. As I was sliding down the bed of the truck, the brakes don't worked for crap in that position on diamond plate 5 of the workers at Rice ran over and helped me out. By the time we got the bike settled the driver was LONG gone.
I have roadside coverage with Foremost Ins and don't see a need for both. |

New Bohemia, VA | keep in mind VERY FEW wrecker operators know how to transport your bike. I don't trust any of them. It is better to go get a little u-haul truck unless they are bringing you gas. I won't blame the drivers as there is no training program and most of the time they are picking up pieces from a wreck and not from a broke down bike. RRDB from theVMC is your first choice, next is U-haul. So remember, it is not the VRA at fault, it is mostly the available towing services. I'm sure there are areas or services that have capable folks, but not everywhere. Oh, I must share this story, recently my ignition broke back in November I think. Never thought of calling the VRA, went to u-haul and got a motorcycle trailer, went to the house and got my come-a-long and straps and ratched that gal up on the trailer. I did have a guy who said he used to ride that gave me hand with the tricky part. Just something to consider.

Regina Saskatchewan Canada | I have never used the roadside assistance but I use the hotel discount every year on my vacation. On a two week trip I can save over $200 depending on what the discount is for that chain. With that in mind it pays for itself every year. |

I can't answer your question, but I would strongly suggest that you look at the owners manual as it should include drawings which would be more descriptive then someone here telling you what to do. If it isn't clear then follow up here or with your dealer would be in order. |

| I had my '11 regulator die on a ride to Tucson with only 1500 miles on the bike. I was able to get it to a motel Saturday night and then called AAA in the morning to take it to the dealer. They sent a flatbed and after him messing with it for 30 minutes I told him to forget it and put it back on the ground. It was apparent it was not going to go well. I called Vic Roadside Assistance and they sent out a woman with the neatest rig I've seen. It has what looks like a big cage sitting in the bed of her pickup. She pushes a button and a mechanism picks up the cage and swings it to the rear of the bed and on the ground. She rode the bike into the cage which had its own wheel chock and then strapped it to the sides of the cage. She pushes the button again and the entire cage and bike swings up and into the bed and off to the dealer we went. Perfect experience and she showed up in less than an hour. Can't beat that with a stick!

I am very happy to report that wife wants me to sleep in her bed every night....this restriction limits my range to about four hundred mile radius from San Antonio. I am going to make an AVR someday....She will fly I and I will meet her there on the Vision.

Your a lucky man to have a good woman in your life.
But as I posted eariler when your far from home and friends it is good to have a # in your phone that can be called at anytime to get roadside help.
I have triple A and was surprised in Sturgis to be told they won't help a MC.
I have used Triple A in the past on my Triumph.
VRA was my second choice in Sturgiss and I was glad I had it when I needed it.

San Antonio, TX | Remember that the best tie down on the Vision is in the frame behind the head light. Everyone please read the manual and find this tie down.
I have no issues of people using the front and rear tip overs as secondary tie points but the primary is the one on the frame.
FYI, never use the handle bars of a vision as a tie point.
