The dealer ordered a new rear pulley and it should be in by now. Going to call in a few minutes and try to get it changed out before heading to Daytona Saturday.

I forgot all about the belt noise about 30,000 miles ago. Best cure? Ride it more!!! Tire howling after 6-8,000 miles? I haven't figured that out yet... The E-3 Dunlop is prone to cupping and all three I've worn out have done the same thing. I've got about 8,000 on number four and it's starting to howl in turns. I watch air pressure closely. I believe most of my problem is weight. We ride 2 up 80% of the time and my wife doesn't understand "pack light"... We are always overloaded. I also ride hard on the throttle out of the turns... I have to say I'm satisfied with the handling, ride, and mileage I get so I'm willing to put up with a little howling. Sorry... didn't mean to change directions again!

Took the bike in yesterday and got it back today. The dealer installed a new rear pulley and belt. Everything sounds great right now. Hopefully it will stay that way. Also got a new rear tire because mine went flat on the way back from Daytona and was cupped. Great job by my dealer (Twin Specialties) in Raleigh. Good price for the tire. $253.00 total.
