Well, I fiinally made it down to Pine Bush to let the Master have at it...

I had the adjustable intake put on as well as the 1/4 turn throttle, then had the PC-V re-tuned & dynoed.

WOW-, my observations from a non gear head.

No surprise- Lloyd is a great guy, spent quite a bot of time talking with me about bikes and motor stuff while Trevor put on the adj intake- Pine Bush is a nice little hamlet and the shop is much different than I expected.

Lloyd then spent about an hour fine tuning the PC-V on the bike.

IMO< the bike sounds louder with the adj intake on it, almost like a new exhaust system loud- nice throaty rumble. The 1/4 throttle is by far one of the best mods you can do- I liken it to a double action trigger pull going to a single action- the throttle is now "always on"- no more lag !!!

My onboard computer says MPG increased almost 3 MPG- I took the bike on a 800+ mile 3 day run after leaving Lloydz on Friday- it loves to be out in clean air now- straight highway run for one tank of gas , MPG went up almost 6 MPG !, shorter, in town runs avergaged around 3.

I now have done everything I can before putting cams in, I am very happy with the power & performance !!!

Dyno reults were much different than the last time I had it done (another location/dyno), after Llloydz, I am @ 84 HP & 104 ft lbs.......

I got a little more power out of the 2200+RPM range when I installed my fuel controller and upgraded my intake. I also did the fuel controller upgrade, twin air intake, exhaust, filter intake, etc. myself before a cam party. If I may ask, why are you avoiding cams? I think you would be VERY happy with the results if/when you pull the trigger on them.

not avoiding, just not sure if they are for me..

I have everything that Lloydz makes ( I think ) on my bike, air intake plate, IAV, reflashed ECU, adj intake, exhaust gaskets, 1/4 turn throttle..

what did u gain by going to the cams....

May be a dumb question; the reflashed ECU was that to Vic stage1 or the Rev limiter upgrade as done through them?

If the Vic Stage1...seems a better buy would've just been the VFC.
If the later, what use is that if you haven't got the cams? Almost seems to be a waste if you ask me. BTW........I've not ever had my Vision on a dyno but after KevinX did the install here in Houston, it's a whole different bike! After this, Rev Extend upgrade is a necessity!

If i read this correctly,

Reflash was done to my already stage 1 bike- to get the rev limiter upgrade.

I know there are many smarter than I who can answer as to the validity of having the reflash w/o doing the cams.

So did Lloydz tell you about the new Adjustable Timing System? Guess you have to go back http://www.lloydz.com/store/item_view.asp?estore_itemid=1000125

I had the same things done to my vision at the AVR last month. 92HP & 114FT# torque after the dyno. Not really seeing the need to do much more to the bike after this. Powerband comes in at much lower RPM which is what i wanted. My Big Honkers really HONK now! My wife said she could hear me coming down the street before she could see me on the trip home.

what did u gain by going to the cams....

Considerable power and smoother torque curve that pulls at all RPMs.

Your bike dynoe'd 84hp and 104 tq.

All mine has done to it is the cams and fuel controller and I got 106hp and 108tq. Over 20hp increase is definitely noticeable.....thats a 26% increase in horsepower over your numbers.

Trust me.....you will notice those gains.

My riding buddy has a 2012 Vision with Llyods top filter, vfcIII, ecu & vm1 cams & timing gear with D&D pipes. He dynoed over 116 tq 119 hp at the AVR.Last weekend I watched him beat a 2012 113 cu yamaha star raider in 1/4 mile drag race by 2-3 bike lengths (the raider also weighs around 200 lbs less than a Vision)So I would say the cams are well worth the money. As soon as my warranty runs out I will be getting them.

I'm not sure how everyone claims that they are getting increased TQ at lower RPMS's with the cams. Most cams simply don't work that way... mine certainly don't. Typically, you sacrifice some bottom end to gain at the upper end... or vice versa. I lost some low end TQ but gained considerably above 3k rpm. However, with the AIS, I did reclaim most of that lost TQ !

I sure would like to see the dyno's from folks who have the cams and claim they didn't lose any low end TQ. Then compare that to the same setup without cams. Lloyd has a few dyno sheets posted with cams and without, and the cammed bikes have noticeably less TQ until the RPMs climb.

Kyle at KMC hooked me up when I told him what I was after.

This is the stock dyno from Lloydz.

This is mine

Your correct......it looks like I may have given up 2 or 3 HP at 2500 RPMs vs stock.....but the stock setup drops like a ROCK when you get on it hard......and mine stays fairly flat.

I wouldnt say the cammed bikes have noticeaby less TQ until the RPMs climb.....at most were talking about less than 5ft lbs difference at 2500 rpm.

I'm not talking about stock, I'm talking about equal setups, albeit with and without cams.
The stock graph you posted is NOT an accurate comparison.
Here is a dyno from Lloydz site with exhaust and intake plate. Just no cams. Look at the massive TQ curve!

Cams move that TQ curve way up the RPM range, and sometimes (as in your case) you never fully get it back.
What you do get is HP in the upper RPM range. Which is fun, but not where you ride.
Lloyd developed the AIS though, which gives back a lot of that lost lower RPM TQ with cams.

how about torque 108ft-lbs plus at 2500 rpm on up max at 113ft-lbs with 115.39 hp now that is pure flat line pulling power all across the rpm range. Thanks Lloyd, Kevin and Rylan. the dyno sheet is from avr 2012. Lloyd's top filter, cams, power commander, re flashed ECM. stage 1 level 1 pipes.

Very nice bruzer, I just wish someone in my neck of the woods was a Lloyds approved shop.
