I have read where you can remove the baffles from the S1L2 Exhaust pipes. I cannot find a write up on this, so I need a little info on what is involved to do the job. I noticed the screws in the end of both pipes, tried putting a wrench in the allen head but there is some sort of tamperproof deal in the head. I assume you need to pull these bolts to have any chance of removing the baffles. Am I on the right track? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

Steve you are correct that the fastener at the end of the pipe must be removed. The fastener is a tamper proof torx fastener and you will need that type of bit to remove them. Once thats' done it is straight forward from there. No rocket science or anything.

Very Cool! Guess I will have to find a tamper proof Torx fastener bit that will fit. Maybe Harbor freight? Do they just pull out the end then? Thats all that holds it?

Thanks for the help!

My S1L2 pipes have an allen head bolt with the center raised so you can't seat a wrench.

It may be possible some S1L2 pipes came with tamper proof Allen bolts securing the baffle, but mine came with T25 tamper proof torx fasteners. I speak from experience bought the bit from HF took the baffles out and decided I rather them in fornow.
