help!!! is right. The way to get it working again, is shoot some wd40 in there and work the key. it'll open unless something broke.

Yep, same thing happened to me. I held onto the "barrel" of the lock while I worked the key gently 'til it finally opened.

Try pushing down on the trunk lid while turning the key.

It happened to me too. Lube probably won't help you. Just have to work gently till you get it to open, then you'll need to remove the outside shell to access the mechanism. Turned out the spring in mine had dislodged & was bent. New spring and good to go. Hasn't given me a problem since. Good Luck Tom

Ive had the ignition lock up on the 08 a few times. WD40 normal maintenance now

Same here, every time I change the oil - All locking mechanisms get WD40. Same treatment for clutch cable ends.

jackfrost does have a point also, sometimes, even with wd40 treatment, mine will get stuck.

A squirt of powdered graphite works too, I hit the JEEPS door locks every year around this time so the locks don't freeze, and it takes nearly 11 seconds additional time to do the bikes keyways.
