I tried searching but to no avail!!!!! Now that that's out of the way here's my deal. When I'm riding and NOT using the heated grips my throttle works perfectly, ie when I let go of it it returns to it normal position. When I turn the heated grips on after they heat up and I let go of the throttle it will not return. I'm guessing the rubber in the grips is expanding or swelling with the heat and causing it to catch. I can push the throttle and get it to return but not freely. My concern is if I adjust the throttle will I hurt anything? Cold weather is coming but for the most part right now I rarely use the heated grips. It sure is a pain and a safety concern of mine though. I don't know if the problem is in the throttle cables that need to be adjusted or if the grips are swelling and becoming tight against some part of the bars. Anyone had this problem? Probably not right.......

KevinX mentioned once about a washer that remedies sticking throttles, search again here on the forum, it was a recent topic.

Yep, that's what Kevin told me to try. Washer between grip and end cap. Worked perfect. I found a washer that was a bit small but very thin and reamed it out. Problem solved.

Talked about this about 2 years ago.

Cheap simple solution.

Take the bar weight off, get some sand paper, and sand a little of the rubber grip end down so you have a slightly larger space between the bar weight and the grip. Then smooth up the edge of the grip (NOT the grip) with rubber dressing (Armorall or Meguires). Put the the weight back on and your done.

Did mine 2 years ago and it hasn't gotten stuck since then.

OH, don't forget to put locktight on the threads before putting the ends back on.
