Has anyone here bought a 1/4 turn throttle spacer from Lloyds and installed it themselves? Tried putting mine on today and for the life of me can't get one of the cables adjusters back into place and I've backed the adjusters all the way in at the throttle and at the injector plate. Didn't get to play with it for long as I had to go to work, but I'm going to try it again when I get home tonight. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have one and it's a great mod to get rid of that "lazy" throttle that the Vision has, if you are used to riding a VTX 1800 than you know what I'm talking about. This mod requires a lot of patience when trying to get that last cable back in the grip, it seems impossible but it's not. I tried this install at first by just adjusting both cables loose at the grip side but then realized there was going to have to be slack at the throttle body(TB) too. I tried loosening just the bottom cable at the TB but then realized both had to be loosened all the way and I actually removed the bottom cable from the bracket. Only then could I put the grip back together, check the rotation before you start putting the TB end together, some people have said they had to do some grinding in the grip area for clearance, I did not have this problem. I then tightened my upper cable to the halfway point and proceeded to try to get the lower cable back in the bracket. This part is difficult but with someone assisting, reach through the fork opening and feed the cable back while someone guides it in at the TB. You will have to play with the adjustment at both ends, but when I was done I ended up with 8 threads showing at the TB side and 3 to 4 threads showing at the grip end. It is super critical to make sure the jamnuts at the TB side are tight and will not loosen. This has happened to others and you could loose control or have a stuck throttle during a ride, not something I would want to experience. I'm not the greatest mechanic in the world but got through it, just go slow and have a helper, check everything twice.

This is pretty much where I'm at. I quit to leave for work when I was trying to get the bottom cable back in the holder at the throttle plate. I'm going to give it another try when I get home tonight. I didn't have any help at the time and it sure is a tight fit to get your fingers in there. Thanks for the info gilbertma. I assume I'm going to have to "recailbrate" the cruise lash when I get done.

Finally got it all back together. It works great. My adjusters are just about all the way in. It will take up a lot of cable stretch now. Surprised how much of a difference that little bit of throttle take up can make.
