As I have said before, I sure ain't no computer guy or A mechanic, I can't even locate to former posts on this subject. Thanks to all the guys for all the help. I talked to my dealer and he said the man that rebuilt the starter said that what happened to my starter was caused by low voltage going to the starter, have you any of you had that problem, and if so how did you fix it. It seems to more of A problem on the 2011 models, since they are the ones reporting morev starter problems. Thanks

The only time I thought I had a possible bad starter on one of my Victorys, it turned out to be the battery.

Generally speaking, low voltage going to a starter, any bike's starter, causes the starter to overheat, and can cause it to fail prematurely. The best "fix" or prevention is to install a quality battery and keep it charged.

on the harleys it would happen a lot with bad battery starter would stick. Not know what year your battery is get a new one. when your there go a little farther and replace circuit breaker from NAPA p/n 7823116. Its metal and it will be better then Vic's plastic one. All so check the ground cable that goes to the motor. Put wrench on it just don't look at it.
