Or windshield down?
I normally ride with the shield all the way down but my wife discovered that it blocks more when its up. So as of late I have been forced to ride with it up. Oddly enough it hasn't taken me long to get use to looking through the extra plastic which have always hated in the past. I think I still prefer it down

So what do you all do, up or down??

AT night i always have it UP.. i do this to block bugs from getting on my face... Recently in the heat i have ridden with the shield all the way down and the side flaps IN.. Im trying to get as much air as i can. But i have read where getting to much air drys your skin out when you sweat from the heat.? So you should drink alot more H2o.

I also prefer down, but my wife says it makes a huge difference in how much she gets beat up by the wind, I also prefer to push the envelope when it comes to the posted speed limits, so its windshield up and away we go

I can vouch for that too. The first thing my girlfreind wants is the windshield up when we ride. She says it makes a big difference. I; of course, prefer the wind in my face and the windsheild down during the day.

Both, depending on conditions. I like it down when in town traffic, or when it's really hot out, and up when traveling the superslab. My wife likes it down when it's hot and up when it's a little cooler. Great having an instantly adjustable windshield ain't it? My buddy's Goldwing windshield is adjustable too..........if you stop and get out the wrenches.

Up just enough until the helmet buffeting stops and I can still see over it.  No bugs.

Songfan, from the size of your Connie's windshield, I thought you would have liked it all the way up all the time.
I like mine down all the time for the most part. When the wife rides I put it up just far enough to where I can see over it. With it down all the way the driver gets some buffeting, but not as bad as the pillion. With it half way or all the way the buffeting really decreases for the pillion. I know, I have sat on the backseat for sixteen miles at a time and played with the windshield. If I'm riding all girly like on the hot seat then I like the windshield all the way up and would probably like the tall windshield. I have it and when the temps get cooler will install it.

Hey Po,

The aerodynamics are totally different with the Vision.  I had the big windshield on the Connie because the stock one pushed the wind right up under my chin and a full face helmet would roar at highway speeds.  The tall wiindshield was also wider and pushed the air around my shoulders better.  The Vision has such a huge fairing that all I need is a little tweak with the windshield and all is calm.  I put it all the way up when it gets below 40.

Down, down, down, all the time, except when I've got one in the pillion.

UP! & I have the largest "barn door" available. I really like my 4" taller than stock windshield from Cee Bailey's. No distortion at all & the light gray tint actually "sharpens up" the landscape around me. It keeps bugs off me & helps keep the rain off my glasses as well. (If you ride in Florida you're gonna get wet)

With rain, cold, or high speeds (freeway 75+, I prefer windshield up. Wife likes windshield up most of the time, but if we are riding the twisties, I insist on windshield down so I do not get distortion when I look through the various portions of the windshield looking for the best line to take in the next curve.
