Subject: Update on repairs

Just popped back to give an update some might be interested in.
As some of you know I had a laundry list of repairs that needed taken care of when parts arrived. Well they got the new headlite assy replaced. Looks good but I'm assuming at some point they'll end up replacing it again when they find out why they are cracking. The new assy has two very small marks on the clear lense top edge my guess is they are molding points that didn't get cleaned up right but thats ok cause its simply cosmetic. I'll shout if I hear anything on a headlite recall.
Oil sending unit is replaced for the third time and to tell the truth I haven't gotten the bike wet to test it, so fingers crossed for a permanent fix this time.
Shock bushings were replaced (upper) with no appreciable difference. I'm sure they make a difference I just can't tell from the saddle any difference, lol..
My dealer ordered in a 2" taller windshield for me to replace the stocker that cracked. I think anyone who is 6' tall or taller would appreciate the extra 2". I can just see over the top edge when going down the road and with it up I get complete frontal coverage and then some. I'll update the wifes opinion once she gets a chance to ride along. So if you happen to be unfortunate enough to have the windshield crack and they are going to replace it, it would be a good time to ask them to order the tall if you want it. I offered to pay the difference (around $10) but the dealer said not to worry about it.
The new left bar radio control still hasn't released so I'm still waiting on that, but no big deal.

Final note. My dealer wrote up the rear tire for excessive cupping and ordered a new tire under warranty for my bike. Now its on the invoice as having been replaced under warranty but the old tire is still on the bike so this is something I'll address with them tomorrow as there was some uncertainty from the maintenance supervisor as to why they had ordered the tire, or if I had. Regardless it appears that Victory did send the new tire for replacement under warranty, it just didn't get done. Again I'll update you all when I know for certain why the tire wasn't changed since that part was shipped by Victory for a warranty replacement.
I will tell you that I have had tires replaced before under warranty on a Suzuki, so while you may get told they don't, that isn't necessarily true. I believe they base each on a case by case basis. If it an obvious tire related issue or a part of the bike being defective causing the wear they warranty it. In my case I'm assuming it was related to the shock bushings.
Thats about it....... Ride safe........ T

ps... I installed the Arlen Ness license plate holder for the vision. Looks way nicer than stock but I'd be willing to bet you could find one just as nice and much cheaper (just so you kow).
