I saw that Big Joe posted a vidio for his Kewlock helmet lock, and figured I would share this story over here............

So I have this collage kid with a sweet 08 Vegas. His parents got it for him for graduating with honors from HS. The only condition was that he HAD to wear a full face helmet. Now the kid has chops, and rides every day, everywhere. When he got the bike he bought one of our bad ass Scorpion lids, and it lasted a month before some scum bag stole it on campus. The second one lasted a couple of weeks, and this kid was hating life. Almost $400 in lids in less then 2 months was going to seriously cut into his food budget.

I remembered seeing Kewlmetal had posted locks for the Vision so I made a call to see if Joe could send me a set for a Vegas. Sure enough they were ready, and he shipped me a set. As soon as they arived I called Jake[the kid], and had him come in. Install was easy and relativly quick. The locks were secure, and the inserts went right on.

Today the kid came in with a hang dog look, and as I splutered out "Dude your shitting me". He broke into a smile. Seems he walked out of class today, and his was the only bike that still had a helmet on it.

So that means the new KewlLocks are now tested against the future engineers of America. Good Job Guys

You need a program that can reduce your picture to 80 kilobytes or less. I happen to have an old Adobe Photoshop elements program. Then, after you make a post, and before you submit it, check the little box titled "attached a file after posting". This little box is below the big box where you do your typing.

Nomad, question for you. Do you have to use the helmet lock extenders, or will they lock the metal buckle without it. I still want them, just curious. Also, how much did you pay? WHen it first came out it was $90, went on the website and now they are $120. Maybe we can get some group discount or something. Oh well, either way, I want them, so I'll probably shell out for them.

A friend of Vision-Riders (Steve Stoddard) has an online image resizer (dimension-wise) which will scale photos down (and therefore file size):

This link is also on our links page.

You know, I only tried one helmet without the extender, and it did not work. But the D-rings are different on all my helmets, so I will try some of the others. The price was $119 direct, but I'll bet you will get lower deals when vendors start stocking them.

I got mine in the mail last week. Installed in about 10 minutes and I'm NOT very good w/ tools. Used them on a lunch ride yesterday & found that they only work w/ the extenders. Our 2 helmets' D-rings won't fit into the Kewl-loks. Look good & work great! No more carrying the "lids" around w/ us, whoo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!!
