Hey All

I am going next week to negotiate for my 09 Vision. Thinking that I might be able to save a few $$ for installations, I asked about ordering the bike with the accessories that I want on it directly from the factory. I was told that when ordered from the factory nothing extra, not even reverse, comes on the bike.

Has anyone ever custom ordered a bike, through a dealer, and had it arrive with the extras (Vision accessories) that you wanted on it.?

 Thanks

Gerry

Sorry! Bought mine off the floor. Gave me the opp to find all the parts "I" wanted. I can tell you that this bike is fun to improve on my own so having someone else do it wasn't much of an option!

Have fun with the new bike when you get it! You'll love it!

All Victory bikes I know have the accessories added when it arrives at the dealer except when you do the custom order on line. I believe that is during the fall when the new models come out. Maybe you will find something new?

I have owned three Victory's and my dealer installed all the extras free as long as they were included in the purchase agreement and installed before delivery. I have heard of other dealers doing the same, check with your's.

What accessories are you wanting installed? When you think about it there really isn't many (if any) accessories that can be added at the factory. About the only accessory I can think of that would be installed at the factory is the chrome fairing trim.

And the accessories that can be added at the dealer aren't really difficult to install. Heck, consider installing the accessories yourself and save even more $$$. And if you install anything yourself and run into any problems all you need to do is make a "help" post on the site and there are quite a few folks here who have already installed pretty much everything.

A better way to save money might be to ask your dealer for a discount on the accessory parts you are wanting. The mark-up on these parts is a bit heavy. There are quite a few folks around here who have had dealers easily take 15% or more off accessories.

I also ordered many accessories upon purchase from the dealer-great service-all accessories, including an aftermarket alarm are being installed without extra charge for labour. Talk to your dealer and he may well agree to do this for you.

I just purchased a Vision Tour Prem and want to put an alarm on it. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good alarm?

I had everything put on at the dealer in N.H. They actually stayed open for me to pick up the Vision until after 10:00 at night, cuz I was working until 9:00pm or so on that Fri night that I picked it up. I had all the chrome it could handle at the time, put on BEFORE I got it. They did an awesome job too!!!

I am having the Scorpio alarm installed-it has several features-remote arming, perimiter sensor, battery level indicator etc. It also comes with a direct plug in for the Victory Vision-ordered and installed by the dealer. Check out the Scorpio web site.

I have had a scorpio -i900 and it works great. Search for Scorpio on this site and you will see several threads.

When I emailed Scorpio they needed info for the 2009 wiring harness to check compatibility. Maybe someone could stop by and help them out?

Now there is something to put on the Victory OEM wish list. A guy at work paid $260 for the HD one and the dealer installed for free. From what he told me it's mostly a key fob that works by being just about being on the seat for the engine to start. No kill switch, no alarm, no communication to fob.
