Belding Michigan | has anyone bought a corbin seat? I bought one it is on order but I wondered if anyone else had an impression. I needed a harder seat as i am heavy and sink down on the stock seat till I am hitting bottom. Arch |

guelph ontario | I ordered a Corbin and am awaiting it-I first was going to get the Victory aftermarket seat (acutally a mustang) because of the back rest which I need. When I found out the price and that it didn't have any heat I opted for the Corbin. Backrest and heat-not much more money. I also am of a larger size and hope that it will be comfortable. It plugs into the Victory harness so should be no issues with fit. |

Hot Springs Village, Arkansas | I bought a fancy Corbin with backrest for my wife (for a BMW I own), it is HARD. I have ridden about 3500 miles on that seat, and my ass is still not broken in. I'm not too big but fully packed. Hope this helps, it is very well built and Corbin did provide good service. |

Ma. | I ordered my heated Corbin seat early October. I received it 2 weeks ago. I put it on my 2009 Vision. This was my 4th Corbin seat. The fit and finish was not up to what I expected from Corbin. The comfort, at least just seating on the seat, was incredible. I took some pictures, e-mailed them to Corbin and they agreed the fit and finish was not acceptable to their standards. They issued me a return authorization number and had UPS pick it up the next day. In my opinion they are doing the right thing and so far I consider their customer service top notch.
I have enjoyed every Corbin Seat I have ever purchased and expect to do the same with this one.
I am sure that anyone that has ordered the Corbin Seat will be happy with the comfort. It did not seam as hard (firm) as my others when they were new but did feel much more comfortable to me then the stock seat. As all of you know the stock seat is not bad. This is my second vision, I had an 08, and toward the end of last year I did feel my seat was starting to break down a little. I had installed the Utopia back rest on my "08" and my first impression is that it is slightly better then the Corbin back rest... although I have not really tried it out. The Utopia was easier to adjust and had more surface area on my back which I liked. Although the stitching on the seat does not match the back pad on the truck, I did not find it a real problem.

I had a Corbin Dual tour with heat and oval backrest on my HD FLHTC. Put up with it for 2 years and about 20,000 miles. My poor arse never did break in. On a one to two hour ride it was fine, But I'm known for my all day marathons. After 4 or 5 hours I would be squirming in pain.
Sold that seat and ordered a Travelcade Road Sofa, with the gel inserts and backrest, covered in black velour. Heaven, my longest day was 14 hours, I could have kept going if my eyes weren't so tired. With the velour your behind breathes, so no monkey butt.

Northeastern Penna. | Like most products, it's a matter of opinion. I personally don't like the Corbin seats, the Ness Vision model has a Corbin seat. Too hard of a seat to sit on. Does anyone know who was contracted to make the stock seat for the Vision ? That's extremely comfortable. |

Pittsburgh, PA | Other the last few bikes i have owned i have owned 5 corbin seats. I had eveything from a solo,stinger, dual tourer, gunfighter etc. Im only 190lbs & i was never able to get used to the corbin seats. What i mean is, they claim you will break in the seat so that it fits you. That Never happened for me.. Even when i had one of the seats for 2 years. I would get hot spots and a sore rearend in as soon as 250 miles. and once you got that you were doomed. The seats were well made, but my dual tourer i thought was anything BUT a touring seat! Of course these seats were all for another bike and Not the Vision. also their backrests were roughly $200 and were very hard and smaller as far as the area that touches your backrest. i never thought their backrests were worth the money. well thats my 2cents. |

Richmond, Virginia | Alternative option Please read. My last 4 motorcycles I have needed after market seats. Ive owned Corbin, and on my Kingpin I purchased an outrageously priced Mustang with backrest. Ive learned my lessons, I now send my existing seats to be re padded
and altered. For about 200.00 you can get your seat custom done to fit your own personal butt and its requirements. I have had two level heat added to seats as well. There is a huge markup in after market seats which quite honestly, unless you want crockodile
or rattlesnake skin trimmed in ostrich, you are paying for the term "custom". Do yourselves a favor, use my guy, tell him how you need your existing seat re-worked, ship it to him and in a week, you will get back the seat you need. I have never been disappointed at either the quality, speed, or price. Now for those of you who need to see CORBIN stitched on the back, or Mustang
embossed on the seat, go ahead pay the money. If anyone wants the name of the guy who does my seats, email me and i will get you the contact information. Tell him if you need it softer, firmer, sloped up, sloped down, deeper bucket, shallower bucket etc etc.... |

northwest florida | Corbin seats are: you love 'em or you hate 'em. I had 2 Corbin seats on 2 BMW's that I had owned. I will never get another one. They are hard and uncomfortable. The customer support from Corbin was slim. I sent one back and eventually got my money back and the other was on the bike when I sold it. For the money I would buy a Russel Day Long seat. So what if they are ugly, nobody can see it when you are doing 60 mph! lol |

Belding Michigan | I got my seat 4 weeks to the day from order. I installed it in about 10 minutes by following the book in cluding the electric part for the heat. It fits great and looks great I will try to get pictures. I have not had time to ride so don't know how it will feel long term but setting on it it feels like I expect a Corbin to feel very firm but I need that as I am 400 lbs and soft seats do not work.
I will give you a rundown on the ride after the weekend if the weather holds Archie |

One of the last people i talked to about the corbin seats had called corbin, and Corbin told them to make sure to ride the bike in all weather. Get the seat wet and ride till its dry. This is what helps the seat actully break in. If you are scared to let the bike get wet or keep your bike in the garage all the time, you will never break in the corbin. |

In fact, if you do not weigh much, like maybe less than 150, I'm guessing with the smoothness of the Vision ride, it could take a bit to really break in the seat. For those of us over 250... 1500 miles is all is takes. They are built tight, and built to last. Having said that, the Vision stock seat is probably the most comfortable stock seat I have ever seen/felt on a bike. |
