Had them on my BMW LT... they were really nice quality and great function...the better half really misses them but the seat comfort is about the same.

With the odd angles and stuff the ones I have seen on the Vision look hideous...MHO. Would like to see what Victory comes up with.

I was eyeballing the Vision for that very thing today. Man it would be nice to have arm rests for the wifey, but she's not asked about them and has never been on a bike with them. I got to thinking since it would be a permanent feature, in my opinion and only used with the trunk pack, why not a chrome base drilled and mounted to the tour pack? The arm rests could swing away for entry and egress, and have a substancial mount. I'm thinking if done right this would be just more good looking chrome on the bike. There doesn't seem to be much option, and mounting to the grap handles as I have seen don't impress me none, especially with the grab handles being PLASTIC. Oh, sorry for the rise and inflection of my voice when I said PLASTIC. Go out and look for your self, why not a chrome plate, maybe flamed mounted to the base of the trunk that would hold the armrest in a pivot mount that would allowing swing out. It would have to be plated to the inside as well to keep structual integrity. Anyway, where is it from Victory, no sign and it's been more than a year since they originally said they were coming.

I agree that I think they should be mounted to the tour pack. 80% of the time i run with it off. Only on a long trip do I put the pack on. I know she would me much more comfortable when we are riding many hours a day on a long tour ride. But when its time to enjoy the mountains and the twisties solo....I'd want the arm rests to come off with the tour pack. Anyway....I hope Victory is working on them. Im just sanyin the more emails the earlier they might get to it.

tahnks for SNEDING

The armrest idea among some others, will come down the consumer highway from Victory, for the Victory Vision in the future. This bike is in it's infant stage compared to the competitors, yet has almost as many amenities as they have and they've been around for decades.

While you're at it, ask them to make a mount for the luggage rack on a street model without needing a backrest.
I am almost to the point of cutting off the top of my backrest!

dude, the passenger backrest looks sharp as heck on the Vision complements the shape and is probably the best and most comfortable on the market.... why in the heck does something so functional and well made bug you so bad? It also allows you to mount the touring bag in front of it on the passenger seat without having to do some ugly butt tie downs all over the thing.

Maybe it looks good to you, but I don't like it all that much. As far as it being functional, that may be true, but 99% of the time I am riding solo. It wouldn't be that difficult to make it where the top padded portion is removable so I can keep the luggage rack, then install the backrest for when it's needed, or wanted. What's worse, but ugly tie downs all over the thing, or butt ugly touring bag strapped to the seat? Most bikes look bad with backrests in my opinion. It's all personal choice.

My BMW had the combination of plactic and metal on the trunk but they came up with a great product...folding armrest when mounting...but I think all the curves become an issue on the Vision. To me...I want something as strong and nice looking as what I had on the BMW...otherwise the better half just has to play with me instead of the armrest

Sorry the pic. is so small...got some bigger ones slightly over 80K so it won't download but would show you how they mounted in combination with the trunk.

In conversations with Victory engineers, they have been exploring different designs for passenger arm rests. The issue they have been concentrating on is having the armrests swing out for passenger access to the seat. The problem being, it must also support a passenger's weight because you just know some will use it to lift themselves onto the bike. They want it to be sturdy, safe, and practical, therefore they are still in development.

I took mine off this weekend, (the top padded section), when I was swapping out the rear speakers.

Three bolts that are accessible from the trunk. Took like 2 minutes.

I think the armrests should be mounted to the trunk like others said but (knew that was coming) they should be setup so they flip upward and blend in with the trunk when not in use. Just flip them down and she has armrests. A retainer clip would keep them in place when opening the trunk.
Maybe this isn't clear. Hinged on the front side of trunk, maybe removable and mount hides behind backrest, when flipped up they are like channels that flow with the trunk shape. Yeah, needs work but just typing out loud... Maybe a quick release so she doesn't have to reach back to use them?

Thinking about the "ugly" concept. I think all of us agree that adding almost any kind of accessory bag detracts from the look of the Vision. To me the issue would be, yeah, its not pretty, but does its functionality for a long weekend surpass its degree of ugliness, yeah. Trust me, the first thing we do when we get to the hotel or the destination is drop off all the accessories before we take the bike
out for runs. Im in the design business (patios, decks, not flowers and clothes), from a design aspect I personally like the way the
passenger backrest balances the Visions huge front end which slopes down to almost nothing in the rear where the lighted "V" is. its all about artistry and design and to me it keeps the wasp looking shape more attractive. But, thats my opinion surely not shared by all.
(until you have to either willingly or forceibly take a passenger with you and they either have no back support or a 5x5" pad that YOU
call a back support,,,,,, but THEY DONT. nothing worse then an unhappy passenger.......

I'm with Mr. Richardson:

I wish my picture of the armrest product that BMW has integrated into they trunk was bigger so you could see it is both super functional...easy to flip back when the passenger mounts...strong and really nice looking up close (which my little pic doesn't do justice) and very comfortable/functional.

So it really will take some nice engineering to accomplish both. I put them on my LT before I ever picked it up because I know that comfort and security for my better half was important to our long distant rides.
