Hey all,

Well, I finally broke down and became an Iphone clone. Heh heh! I love the phone and would like to use the IPod portion on the bike. I am NOT familiar with this as I bought the Premium with only the MP3 cable. What do I need to purchase to get the IPhone working and is there any tricks I have to perform. I remember somewhere (I can't find it now...go figure) that someone was streaming audio from a link on their phone. Any details on that too?

Thanks!

Elroy

You need to get the ipod cable from the dealer to control the ipod fearure of the phone and display songs on the radio display. Cable cost about $40 and takes a few minutes to change out. Biggest complaint I have is the phone doesn't charge. oh well. Since The AM reception on my Vision it horrible, I got the Iheart radio app and listen to internet radio through the phone. Works GREAT. After you start the APP, connect to the bike and it should play throught the speakers on the bike. I found if I change mode from AUX to FM is will go back to Ipod mode of you go back to AUX.

Another great app for the iPhone and for your home computer is www.pandora.com

Also, if you purchase the proper adapter, you can get the iPhone to charge and work as older generation iPods and older iPhones.

You can pick it up on the apple website - it's an inline adapter fitting between the phone and the cable

ElroyJ,

Please check out this document. It should help you with common questions and setup for the iPhone and Vision. An iPhone and an iPod play music in the same way. The playlists work the same.

Some Vision owners have used the "iPhone and iPod Charge Converter" adapter with success.
The link to get one is listed below. Thanks sjavera for the post!

I ordered the adapter from cablejive (the second one listed) last night. I got an email saying it shipped today. Hope to get it in time for the FL trip next week. I also ordered a suction cup mount so I could have it accessible to control the internet radio. Now if the cable is long enough to reach up to where the phone will be!
I also use pandora and love it. I believe that it and others like it will be the death of XM and Sirius.

I use Pandora too. I just put in a couple of bands and hit quickmix. Haven't heard a bad song yet. I think I have to break down and get the charging adapter.
