Eh!

Just got my 09 vision....black....pulled all the trim off to paint and i have a question

Some of the trim parts look like brushed aluminum....not painted aluminum.....could someone advise me of anything i should know about painting these parts....do they require a special primer?? etc ...or just paint....

Thanks for any thoughts

Gotta be primed/sealed otherwise the brushed will show thru the paint and make it look pretty rough.

What I did with mine is sanded them with 180 sandpaper, one coat of acid etch primer, three coats of high build primer (for some cushion from rocks hitting it), sanded with 400 to 600 sandpaper and then three coats of basecoat and two coats of clearcoat. I did mine when I had 350 miles on it and now I have 8500 miles on it and it still looks great. Take a look at mine in the gallery (Joe H)
