Got my bike last fall and got a day or two of the engine heat thing that people talk about. We have two seasons up here…Dear Hunting and Winter so engine heat isn't always a bad thing. My first air cooled bike in a while and know I'm gonna be getting the air scoop things at an outrageously high price for a chunk of plastic (just being cynical) but never really looked at them up close.

Any sites out there that I can look at them up close or read up on them? Is there just the one version that my Dealer has hanging on the wall...choices?

Thanks

There is only the one option from Victory currently.

My wife managed to break one of mine while the bike was in the garage...so I have purchased 2 sets to date and do have a spare to sell if anyone has broken one also.

I have had my lower wind deflectors on for about 10 days and I love them. At 40 degrees and 70 miles an hour I flipped them all of the way out and they kept all of the wind off of my legs. At 82 degrees I turned them in some and was cooler. Almost like air conditioning for South Texas.

Ride Safe.

Jeff & Paul:

Thanks for the picture and update...can't wait to have to get some because it would mean that it is finally warm out!

Any ill effects of the handling at highway cruising speeds with those scoops pulling in air?

I did not have a problem on Saturday and the wind was blowing at about 35 to 40 MPH. They work as good in the cold as they do when warm.

I will have to wait till August to find out about hot. I really did not have a heat issue before. It is nice to be in better control of the air from the seat down. I am thinking that I should edit the last sentence but I am just to tired and I am going to bed.

Ride Safe and Break like the Wind!

The place to look is the Polaris parts website. They have introduced a black version of these wind deflectors for those with the 'SLOW Black bikes.' Just kidding about the black bikes being slow :-)

spursmvp,

I saw the black lower wind deflectors first on the Polaris web site and I ordered them. I guess they make them in gray.

I usually ride slow so everyone can take a long look. If one rides the Vision too fast all people can say is "Nice V tail light"

Thanks everyone for the info...Uncle Bill...you were'nt a "swiving" machine when we had our great ride last year, but we did the back road deal and never got out on the interstate so I was wondering if those sucker pulled you one way or the other in various wind situations.

Time for me to go check the Polaris website...excellent...matching gray might be interesting.

Let's ride again Uncle Bill...you got a great crew you ride with thanks for letting me ride with!

I have them on my "V" and really like them. While my Harley riding buddy had his chaps on for the winter day rides, I left mine at at home. Also got to ride in some pretty warm temps last weekend and enjoyed the wind on my legs.

spursmvp,

I was shocked to see them in black. I thought I would have to paint mine. I did not see Midnight Cherry Red on the lower's yet. I would order the paint and get them done. It would make them disappear.

Guys, I think the colors are for the mounts and not the actual plastic. Mine were black top match the bike, but I had to paint the plastic. Make sure you do it on the back side.

Yes, Visionbob is correct. When they say Black they only mean the mounts are black. When I bought my 10th I checked into this because I didn't want any black pieces slowing me down. :P
But I think true black would look really good on the black bikes. You may want to do the same for the uppers in that case?

BlueOx USA,

Thanks for clearing that up. The mounts are black and the deflectors are clear. I wish someone would make chrome deflectors.
