I have 800 miles on my 08 Vision, it has dealer installed stage 1, level 1. When at hard decel it pops several times (no big deal) the other thing I noticed is that if I'm at a red light for a long time at idle, when I go to give it a lot of throttle, it stalls? If I give throttle slowly no problem. Is this normal? what do you think?

it is not normal, but it is for my bike and I'm running stock pipes. check your exhaust gasket flange and see if they are tight. That cured it for me before, I think I've got bad gaskets now or another leak, intake or exhaust. It runs great on the road but the mileage has dropped a little and pops every now and again.

Little pops are the norm with the Victory closed loop injection. Making sure everything is tight on the exhaust system will help to minimize the issue, but it will still be there. As to the stalling; there are recall mapping, and circut breaker items to deal with it

Have you had the Recall Remap done? That fixed mine up for the most part. Since I had the remap my Vision has not stalled.

Have your dealer check that recall and any others that might apply.

Ride Safe.

kevin, I hate to disagree and I know you are in the Victory business but mine has never popped, not once. So if popping is the norm it simply means Victory has not yet fixed what is obviously not spec'd right. I've owned a lot of closed loop bikes and the only time they ever popped was 1) if the map was wrong (2) the exhaust header was leaking (3) filter was so dirty it couldn't breath. Two the owner can handle the map would be Victories "problem" to address.

Ed, I'd have a look at the exhaust headers to make sure they are not leaking and are properly torqued as mentiond by varyder. You might also talk to your dealer about putting it on the computer. Not sure about Victory as I believe they don't allow dealer modifications of the map downloads? but they might have a little wiggle room they can bump it a tad richer or leaner. My guess is you are just a slight bit lean which is not all that uncommon with stage maps. It is giving all the indications of being lean with the stall on hard excel.

i didnt think victory maps were programmable. i mean changeable. i thought they were software that couldnt be altered? unlike powercommanders maps. but powercommanders maps have powercommander software that allows for changes to be made. i didnt think the victory dealers have victory software to alter the maps offered to our motorcycles.. am i wrong?

Chris all maps are programmable but the manufacturers don't want you to know that. The stock pc can be programmed to accept any input from the program parameter's. These downloads are all designed to have plus and minus variables. Now imagine how many folks would be at the dealer having the pc adjusted if manufacturers let it be known they could, and imagine how fast the epa would be down their backs. I've had ALL my bikes adjusted by the dealer except my vision as there hasn't been a need.
