I am in the process of negotiating a deal for a 2009 Vision Tour Premium. I currently ride the 2004 Arlen ness that is insured with Progressive.I went to check on insurance for the vision and they are quoting me over $334.00 more a year then what I am paying for the Ness. i want to know if the current rates for insuring the vision is close to 700 a year.I would appreciate anybody that owns one to reply.

Thanks Ride safe

WOW!!! Farmers, $285/yr, 200 ded, 100/300 for an '08 Street. Vision tour would be higher but that's criminally higher unless you have really high coverage.

Be thankful you don't live in Mass.! Up until last year, we couldn't shop around for any of the cheaper companies like Progressive. The rates were set by the state.

Basic 3rd party 2 mill liability with no collision or comp here in BC is about $1100.00 add in $300 deductible collision and comp and it jumps to $2300.00. Of course that is Canadian dollars so figure about $1900 after conversion.

Im noticing that only a few of you mention replacement insurance or gap insurance. Beware that should you total your bike, you will still owe the bank the difference between what you owe on it and what THEY say its worth. In many cases, that alone will exclude you from being able to go out and afford to start over and purchase another bike. You also cannot get lay up insurance on any policy where you dont own clear title to the bike. If the bank holds the note, they wont allow you to get lay up reduction.

Welcome to Ontario, Canada where you will pay $1500./year after the multi vehicle discount, having our home and belongings covered by the same carrier and my Airline discount. The little MP3 Pen is riding now is running $700./yr because its only a 250cc. Once you get over 749cc the price basically doubles. You guys in the good ole USA have it made. Don't get me started on gas prices!!! $10. to fill up in the States, over $20.00 Ca. to fill up in Toronto.

Thanks for the info Guys. I am glad I don't live where a few of you live I seen that a few of you were using statefarm inurance. I have state farm for all my autos and my home but not the bike. The reason for not using them for the bike is they don't pay for any medical on there policies and Progressive does but I will check into some of the other companies mentioned.

for my Vision with 100/300k and Un and under insured with $3500 accessory coverage i pay like $550 a yr. and im a young buck thats not married. thats through Rider insurance. progressive and nationwide wanted for the same coverage $1100+ And nationwide was giving me a discount for having my car with them., i told them straight out... i said i could insure my bike for 2 yrs what you want for 1 !!

but as you well know a qoute for me will not be the same for you.. there are like 101 factors involved. i even had rates go up and down for just moving to the next county over! Ive had friends get higher quotes for a lesser bike because of their credit score! So to say who has the cheapest rates, is not as simple as that..

You guys make me feel real good. $328 a year full coverage w/tow $100 ded. under & uninsured.... Pa is normally higher than all but Mass.. I'm with Geico and I'd recommend you shop around. I had a similar outragious premium quote and had to switch carriers for a couple years. Try Geico, Harley Davidson Insurance (Dairyland), and a few others.

After reading what happen to visionbob when he was in an accident and that he had gap insurance I checked with Allstate and they will only give book value. I went with 100/300/50 with 10000 medical un/underinsured additional 25/50 and 1000 on access., with 500 ded. for 678.00 year. Allstate told me they didn't offer gap insur it has to come thru the bank or lender. And this is a no fault or spread the blame out on everyone state, unless hit in rear , hit while parked, or DUI. So sad, I asked my brother in NC to look into reg. and insuring there for better deal.

Not I, mine is the super fast, more HP and TQ Super Steel Gray.
Did you buy from the dealer in Bancroft? I got mine from Peak in Burlington. We need a few more dealers in this province, so I don't have to spend 3 hrs one way to see them.
There is Ozzy and Probie are from Fergus and Guelph, but I think they are on their big USA run right now. The only other fellow I know is from London with a Ness Street Vision
