I purchased one of these Delphi Skyfi3's from Amazon for $32 a month ago here is a link but you'll need to shop it for the lowest price: http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=xm+skyfi3&tag=googhydr-20...

If you get the Skyfi3 w/car kit it comes with the adhesive mount, antenna and power lead which makes installing it on the Vision a breeze.
I ran the antenna lead under the windshield cowl through above the tank on the right side and under the radio panel up to the car mount which is located between the bars on the radio cover. You could mount it in numerous places to include the dash if you wanted. Power I get from the powerlet in my glove box. The antenna has a magnetic back and I found it will stick to the windshield cowl on either side by the cowl pins (above mirrors).
You can use the stock mp3 lead with an extension to play it through your radio OR you can tune the Skyfi to a dead fm radio frequency and play it through the radio by fm broadcast. In addition to the xm component the Skyfi3 has a slot for a mini SD car for storing your mp3 tunes. The car cradle holds the Skyfi player secure and it slides out easily so you can take it with you when away from the bike.
Just thought this was a good cheaper alternative to the Victory xm setup. The biggest expense is of course a subscription to Sirius XM but you'll get reception everywhere

Almost forgot. If you buy an extra antenna you can use it in your cage as well. The kit comes with a second mount which fits air louvers in your cage so you can take it from one vehicle to another as needed.......

Nice write up thanks for the info. I was wondering if there was another cheaper way.

At a fraction of the cost of the Victory system this is a very attractive "alternative". However, I assume you change channels and view the station identification and song titles on the Skifi3 itself rather than on the handlebar controls and console screen of the bike. Is that correct?

I bought a Slacker unit at Best Buy about a 6 months or so ago. I'm very pleased.
