Was at the AVR over the week end parked my bike in an area for bikes. I was there earily and not many bikes were in the lot. I was there all day and when I was going to leave around 6, I went to the lot and low and behold there were about 20 Visions. I actually had to look for my bile! I always said it must be tuff for the HD owners. First time since 2000 and my 4th Vic that this has happened! There were a few Visions with custom paint that looked GREAT!!

Great seeing Jeff and Miles with their matching shirts!!!

Jeff, love your bike!!! Does it ever get dirty!!!

if you were looking for your "bile" then I can understand the relationship to H-D. We Vision riders look for our bikes.

I knew the day would be coming that in casual passing or association there would be more than one Vision on the road. I've had my wife and other family members tell me they saw a bike just like mine going down the road.

At the AVR I would have expected a lot more Visions since there are a few thousands on the road now. If you're a use to be harley rider, yes, it's okay to take it out and ride, it won't breakdown....

Have you been to the AVR before? Been there 5 or 6 times. They had a big bash when Polaris had their big aniversery in Minn. a few years back, last year it was Victory's 10th that was a bigger fuction. They are usually pretty small. One issue is the Hotels are all small and everyone is scattered all over the place. I go to see a bunch of old VMC friends that I have made over the years. Really dislike the ride, 500 miles each way at 80 MPH, very boring from Chicago on a three day trip.

Maybe I did not say it correctly. I purchased my first Vic in 2000. A few reasons I purchased it was because the technology was different, it was American made and it stood out over the rest in a crowd. Every time I went anywhere with my Vic, i would always say to myself, How do all these HD riders find their bikes in the sea of HD's? Now I know how it feels!

Hey Frank, not to hijack your thread here, is there a group of Victory riders that gets together regularly in northern Illinois? I've been on the IVR site and it doesn't look very busy and the same goes for the Illinois site on the VMC.........what does one have to do other than attending the AVR to meet up with some fellow Illinois Victory riders?

Travelin man, send me you phone number and internet address. I will let you know about rides. Where are you at? I'm in Lake Zurich. You might have told me, but I tend to forget.

57, looks like most ride without the trunk except one. I find the bike is easier to ride and think it looks much better!

Bubba,
The wife was gone for the weekend so 10 minutes later, the trunk was off.
I agree she looks better and handles even better without the trunk.
Would like to buy the passenger backrest but $400 seems kind of stiff.

bubba, i guess it is obvious that I've never been to an AVR though I look forward to going to one someday. I was just doing a play on your type "bile". I know what you mean though on Victories as I see maybe 3 or 4 around here in a given month though there is hoards of harleys. I was talking to a guy on a kingpin or vegas, I don't remember, and I shared that on here. the first post to mine was something to the effect of a Victory convention when there is just two together.

even though the popularity is growing, victors are an elite crowd...

Hey Frank, thanksfor thecompliment. Yes, the bike does get dirty. Seems like I'm always getting caught in the rain. I think I see a speck of dirt on it now!!

Still on the road somewhere in PA heading for home. Leave the light on for me!

I know what you mean about not seeing Vic's on the road. Was up in the Petosky area last weekend and saw my first Vision on the road and a Kingpin and Vegas with it. WOW holy crap 4 Vic's in one town......get out of hear.

Was it a Midnight Cherry Vision? If so, I think you saw me. I don't know who was on the other two Vics (guy and a girl), we came up on them between TC and Petoskey just out of pure chance.
