The forks on their vision yet? Suspension folks know you can increase fork spring preload via spacer in the forks and I'm wondering if anyone has yet?
I had the oil changed about a month ago and it still feels really soft, and yes my dealer screwed the pooch on servicing the forks and cut corners. So they are likely low on oil. However, I like the front to set up a little higher and the springs a little stiffer (old MX racer). So I'm thinking I might add a little preload when I rebuild the forks over the winter and thought someone might have a suggestion on how much works well.
I'm no little guy (6' 200 lbs) and I find I'm using too much energy on handling the bike when it bounces around ( I ride on and off road, dirt, gravel, country lanes, et al). So my thought is that by raising the front a little and increasing the preload I'll reduce some of the bounce and add a little more control, without sacrificing rebound and dampening.
So with that said any input from the resident experts would be appreciated........ T
