Richmond, Virginia | I just ordered from my dealer the new 2010 skins for my Vision. If some of you recall, when i purchased my bike last year, I ordered the 08 tribal flame skins and Victory discontinued them because the paint company who was painting them went out of business, so i didnt get to get them. AT the show my dealer saw the new versions of the skins for 2010 and emailed me photos of them. They only come available for the black Vision and the now discontinued Red Vision. Wont be available till mid September. So now i have something to be really stoked about.... not sure why i told you all about this, guess i just wanted to share Vision information.

Richmond, Virginia | confused but there has only been one red for the Vision which is discontinued for 2010 which leaves black, two tone blue, pearl white no red i believe midnight cherry and "red" are the same color............. am I wrong here?? |

Welcome VR! What part of the country you from? I'm wanting to check out the Vision8 as soon as it hits the shelf...
I take it it will be your first Vision and first Victory... just guessing by your handle... |

| Yes I have owned 8 harleys and 5 Yamahas. Just sold my '06 VRSCD. The Vrod is a great bike, but HD wont do a Touring version. Been waiting for over 5 years now. I dont want a FLH as they are a dime a dozen now a days. So I test rode a Vision, and that combined with the new 8 Ball version sold me. I was extremely tempted by the Cross Country, but the overall comfort level of the Vision cinched it. I am very impressed with the engineering and technology Vic is putting in their bikes. The only negative is dealer support. Still a little thin there. That will come in time. One thing I have noticed is that they are serious about the motorcycle market. For their 1st touring bike to immediately leapfrog over HD and head straight up against a GW is very impressive.
I spoke to my dealer this week, and my 8 Ball is on his Sept ship to list. So I am hoping to have it within 10-14 days. WOOT!

Richmond, Virginia | MFOSTER I didnt see where anyone answered this question for you. "Skins" is the term referring to the panels on the bike
that you can order with Limited Edition paint schemes on them, to replace the panels on your present Vision. In this case there are
4 skins in the set for the Vision. They replace the two saddlebag outter plastics and there are two side fairing panels that are replaced.
Victory offers 1or2 alternative paint schemes usually each year that you can upgrade to on your bike. Cost is usually around 1999.00 for the set. Up to this year, you had to ship them your original set, but they did away with that in 08. You can look at the 2010 paint scheme
for the Vision skins at your dealership if they have a 2010 accessory catalog. The bike in the photos has the new chromed lightening bolt
scheme shown. They only make it for the black vision and the red Vision. Other Victory bikes have their own alternative skin themes as well. My bike will be done in about 3-4 weeks, will post photos of it on here as soon as I can.
You can also see my bike at the October Victory Halloween weekend event in Virginia. Victory is trying to rush my skins so the bike
can be shown there since there will be 3-4 Victory dealers and their riders at the weekend event. |
