atvtinker - 2009-09-11 12:02 PM I personally went with the Baker Air Wings. They are stronger and they actually bolt on. My experience with taped on products is less than favorable. Now if your squeemish about drilling holes in your bodywork than I don't suggest them. Here is the link: http://www.bakerbuilt.com/Victory.htm[/QUOTE]

+1.  Got them in black with smoke lexan.

For those who haven't seen them yet, they blow the cheapo plastic OEM deflectors away. They also flow more air due to lack of flex at higher speeds. And will NEVER break!

We've been working on matching the Midnight Cherry with powder coat for several weeks now, but so far it's not been close enough. Matching PC to paint is really tough and has to be done in layers of color and clear metallics.

For anyone interested in painting their own you could always order them without coating yet prepped and sanded out ready for paint. You can paint them yourself with the $20 factory rattle can touch up, or have it done professionally. It's the same paint as your bike and if done right come out beautiful regardless of color choice. You also have the option of going black or chrome which both go really well against all colors.

For paint prepped sets simply order them in black and note in the comment box "prepped for paint". The  labor cost to sand 'em out properly for painting offsets the powder coating so the price is the same.

Our matching billet uppers will be ready in a week or so...

As for offering the mounts, they're too shape specific to duplicate for a good price as Vic does them by the thousands. However, there are always hinges available from those who have bought the replacements and didn't need the second set of mounts. Do a 'Want to Buy' post and you'll likely find a deal on a set. Or look at it this way... but the factory kit, and when your clear ones break, which they will, you can save money then buying mine.

Hey Cycleops: Is there any chance that you can fab some brackets up for those lowers? I don't want to buy $200 oem just for the cheap plastic brackets. BTW, can't wait for the uppers to make production. Those suckers are definately gonna replace my plastic ones!

To better see how we nailed the color match on the Metallic Blsack Cherry powder coat, here are a few pics up against a Black Cherry Vision... the bikes a bit dusty, but it clearly shows it's a damn good match and as close as possible as it's ever going to get short of painting them.

Hey all,

Well, it took a while but I finally got my lowers delivered. I put them on and took a ride the next day and WOW is the least I can say. I cannot believe just how much less the wind was! I LOVE them and can't believe I started the original thread.

I must say thank you all very much for telling me to suck it up and get them. Next item up for purchase when these break will be something along the lines of what cycleops is producing. I really want them colored the same as my midnight cherry. But until then, its colder riding time for me. I was amazed at just how warm I was when riding today. It was 38 or so when I left and about 45 when I got home. The entire time I had my HJC modular up. I could NOT do that without the lowers...BRRRR!

Any of you that don't own these and ask if they are worth the extra expense. HELL YEAH! Don't ask...just buy! You'll see what I mean after you put them on.

They are equally as effective in the summer at blowing heat away. You are right, ElroyJ, don't ask just buy.

V spot - 2009-12-21 1:10 PM So, when will the uppers be available in Chrome?

Hi Tim, thanks for your interest. I'd place your order now as I only did a few chrome sets in the first batch and don't expect them to last long. We're welding up 20 more sets tomorrow but they won't be chromed and ready for shipping for 10 days to two weeks. This first batch should be ready to pick up from my chromer and ship in the next 2-3 days, if not even as early as tomorrow.
