Decided last Fri to make the trek out to Kamloops BC a week early for the new Vision!
Left Sat am at o dark 5:00 for a 12 hour run across Alberta , thru the Rockies to the other side. Kamloops BC.

Well all went well for the first 1/2 of the trip, the second half was pure Rocky Mountain winter snow storm, all the fun and then some hauling a trailer thru the highest point in the CDN Rockies . Arrived 15 1/2 hours after we left home. Got a nice clean but cheap motel and enjoyed the +1 C temps while locked in with the cloud cover.

Next morning did all the paperwork & $$, loaded and locked down the bike and headed home. 20 Minutes later light snow was falling and then it hit like crazy. I was hoping to be through the mountains by night fall but this far north and snowing, nightfall came early and with a vengance! It tooks way too may hours to get to Jasper and then Hinton. We had a break in Edmonton for an hour while we crossed to the east side towards home.

Finally arrived at hoe at 03:30..I am only 51 but getting too old for driving Marathons in Mountain storms!

SHe's home tucked away, surrounded by boxes of luggage rack, backrests and goodies while I wait the arrival of my new gloss black powder coated upper and lower deflectors and I am ordering a nice dark Cee Baileys windshield also. LAst item will be taking off the rear tip overs for some nice gloss black paint!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good ride!

Not sure how to att pics....

John - you ARE a Crazy Canuck! - driving a Vision out of Cold Lake Alberta is what some of us would call 'insane'.
We think of you people a Snowmobilers - not Motorcyclists ! Right 'brand' - wrong 'model'

Well, we are planning a Vision trip to Alaska this coming summer - likely the last chance I will have at age 66 to do it... so who am I to call you crazy? Just ride and enjoy my fellow Canuck....

Another example of how the VV will make a sane man do what most would consider to be crazy things, but we can recognize why it is done, acknowledge that it was well worth it, and look forward to the next adventure.

Glad you have the bike and it was a safe trip. Hope that I didn't go out on a limb with the assumption that this one started out with a 'sane' man.

Ouch. Glad you made it safely. Do NOT attempt this trip on the bike. O.o
