Tacoma, WA | I posted on another thread about some parts I had powder coated on my midnight Cherry Tour Premium, and some here wanted some pics! Ok, here are a few, and more to come tomorrow, as I only found my digital camera (again!) today. I am hoping for some sun tomorrow when I ride up into the mountains to meet with my Dad, so I can get some good pics in daylight. I powder coated the access panel, the grilles, and the console. The console was an idea I had from the first demo ride I took, and saw the glare of the brushed aluminum in the windshield that day. The color is gloss black, with just a little irridescent flake in it. I hope you like it. My access panel and grill set will be coming in in chrome some day, but I couldn't wait to put the bike back together, and ride it. The console will stay black, as it has virtually no glare in the windshield now! Here are the links to the pics!

I have been thinking about using black chrome for the front fairing and grill and a few other parts |

Tacoma, WA | It does, but there is not too much in it. The console is great! I love that there is now no glare.

, FL United States | Bob, that looks great! I am going to have a local powdercoater do my console as well. Maybe some other parts, depends on the $ he wants to do it. |

Tacoma, WA | The hardest part of coating the console is taking it all apart, and marking the wires for re-assembly! Also make note that there are two "rivet" looking pieces on the back side that look to be "bonded" onto the aluminum. Make sure your local 'coater doesn't lose them if they fall off during the curing process. I had no issues with mine, but wanted to give a heads up!-----Metalguy |
