Just rolled over the 70,000 mile mark on the way to work this morning. The trip to California in 60 hours is still on and I'm going to try and document that trip as well. This also means by the time I return to VA I'll have over 76,000 miles on the Vision. It is then when I plan on doing a 75,000 mile review. I find that the Vision so far is VARYDER proof, that means it is good for you too!

Regular maintenance including the frequent oil changes should keep everything rock solid.

I'm at 72,500, so far so good. I might be replacing the front brake rotor on the next tune up.

Sorry, Mark. I didn't see your comment from last August:

I'm a little over 50k
My odometer as of today reads 3303.
However I had the instrument cluster replaced ( under extend warranty, thank god!) at about 47k.
The instrument cluster was somehow draining the battery.
I was off the bike for over a month while the dealer in Bakersfield California diagnosed and haggled with Victory to cover the cost the instrument cluster, front fork seals and header pipe that developed a crack.
In the end all was covered. I do recommend that extend warranty!
It looks like varyder is destined to be the mileage king.

I guess you just ride too much to tell us your tales. Keep on ....

I got mine at V-Twins 101 in Camarillo CA 11/07, they went out of business a few months later. The service manager opened a shop in Ventura, he is a victory certified Mechanic and the only one for several counties. Jon Johnston at Outlaw Motorsports. Couldn't ride without him!

I've been lax. Still just under 11K. I did break loose last weekend and take a little 500 mi trip to a lake in Nebraska. First time I've ridden all day long in over a year... I suspect this is going to be a high milage summer for Jane! :-) Hey VA Ryder: Do you buy your oil by the drum? LOL I have to say you do the most bike upkeep posts. I think you only shut the bike down to get fuel and change the oil! It's a good feeling to see that you've had so many trouble-free miles. I have a feeling that you're gonna get a solid 120+K out of your bike judging by the trend you're setting. Good luck.

Gandalf, I know for sure I'll be between here and Barstow on I-40 from the early morning of the 25 to the late evening of the 27. I am suppose to be able to hit the road mid-day 8 July heading home. Since I'll have approx. 5 days returning home, I won't be as aggressive going out. I've not decided my route and probably won't until the 7th.

Bigwill - I've got a tire rack too, or so it would seem. Good idea on the oil drum, I'll have to check with AMSOIL and see if I can get a 30 gallon one, sure would save some steps. Judging how things are going, I see this motor going 200,000+ and I plan to find out. I'll hit at 100,000 within the next 12 months at this rate. If I had more sense I would have keep riding when I started back in '84 but I got too logical about things because I believe motorcycles weren't practical, just fun. I've dispelled that myth and find that 95% of the time I just need to move my butt from point A to point B and I don't need a ton and half machine to do it when an 900lb one will do just fine. Plus every time I ride it is a mini-vacation.
