I have a 09 Premium and have read the post of tire performance for stock tire. We have had no issue but have not pushed them. We are taking a trip up Blue Ridge Parkway for 4th and am curious if any one has had issues of loss of traction under hard riding. I am trying to get an idea before i end up down.. You know not good.

Keep the psi at 40 or above.  If you lose traction, it won't be because of the tires.

I too keep mine at 40psi. Traction is great,i have not any type of a slip or bounce on the tires. I turn sharp enough that i am hitting floor board. The bike has such a great ride and fill.
Great times, just use caution...

40+psi. I've have great confidence on the E3's and find they hold even when I think they wouldn't.

You shouldn't have any problem on the BRP but if there is rain, on some of the backroads of Va have a compound that is used to patch the roads and it is very slick when wet. Fortunately the roads have been repaved recently where I frequent so it is not an issue for me at the moment. I don't know where else they used it but beware, I nearly went off the road once riding hard in a turn in a light rain and hit one of those spots. Man, what a ride....

My E3s never let me down in a turn! Just make sure they are in good shape.

Just a word of caution...if you live where the heat is getting extreme, be careful of making turns in town or expressway exits. Here in AZ. the temps are over 100 and alot of older cars have boiling over radiators...this stuff is real slick. My buddy just caught a patch and dropped his Vision in the turn. He is fine, the tip overs just slightly scratched, it happened in slow motion...one minute he was riding, the next climbing up over the top of the bike, waiting for it to stop. Basically just be careful out there. On another note this had nothing to do with the tires, love the Elite III's, usually get 15K outta a set.

I think the E3's ride a little hard but just came back from 7 days in Adorondaks, Vt, NH, and Maine in dry and super cell storm conditions and the E3's never twitched. I am not a real aggressive rider but often ride above the posted. The storm we hit trying to cross the botom of VT on rt 9 had what looked like rivers crossing the road in many places. I have nearly 15K on the tires now and still not down to the wear bars in the rear.

Last week we rode Fort Valley Road in the northern Shenandoah Valley and found some bizarre road patches that were very slippery even on a bone dry day. Easy does it!

We also rode the BRP and a billion other roads between NJ & Helen, GA under varying weather conditions from very wet to very hot and the Vision handled them perfectly.
Ride safe guys.

that's the neck of the woods I ride, a little north though in Shenandoah and Fredrick county. Got to watch for dirt, manure and who knows what else on dem roads.
