Gettysburg, 2008 Tour Premium | They have a new shock that has hydraulic ride height adjuster and 5 position rebound damper adjuster. The body is threaded to fine tune preload and sag. I do not work for them but have used there products before and at least the 440 shocks had a lifetime warranty, I do not know about these as far as warranty but I believe they are rebuildable.
The Showa unit we have far exceeds the life of other similar shocks built by them for Honda, BMW and Harley but they eventually will wear out and I would like to have and option. Progressive at this time does not build a shock for the Visions but the Tech guy I talked to said to mention them here and they will consider the Vision build.

Tucson , AZ | You can use your stock shock and hook up an air ride system to it. This is what i have on my bike. It allows you to set the dampning.... with out using the manuel air pump. It allows you to adjust when you have a passenger on the back on the fly.. Bumpy road .... no problem. My bike has been lowered 3' in the front and 3.5' in the rear. The tire is about 1" away from the frame of the tire. I can adjust it so the hardest bump will not even allow it to touch. You can do it in an afternoon.

Gettysburg, 2008 Tour Premium | I am not interested in lowering, I am interested in improved ride control and adjustable rebound damping. If the tire does not hit the frame is a given. Doing away with air as variable spring (since it does not work) is also a priority. |
