I plan on buying a new Vision 8-Ball this month and had a couple of quetions for y'all

I like to use a headlight modulator and brake back-off module on my bikes for safety reasons (have a Yamaha Stratoliner now) and was wondering if any of you have installed these on your bikes and which ones you recommend to use (and buy it from where for best price)?

Also I want to add in the stereo system but dont know who has the best one for the price...suggestions? Ideally want to use my ipod and be able to charge it and change tracks without touch it (i.e. via remote or handlebar switch)

And lastly I like a deep LOW grunt on my exhaust and a friend told me that the "thunder sticks" are best. Are these slip on of full exhaust mods? Ideas suggestions would be appreciated

Oh yeah...and I am all thumbs when it comes to working on my bike so easy install is also a concern

And lastly with a MSRP of $18,249 + freight and prep do you think that $17k even + T and L is a good deal these days on a new 2011?

I run a headlight modulator on my Vision. I use the Comagination unit.

http://www.comagination.com/

Seems the price is $79.95.

Its kinda tight in there....work of wisdom, use the tip overs. Ease the bike down and lay it over....gives you MUCH better access and room to work - took me less than 30 mins total to get it all worked out.

As for the tail light modulator.....I tried and tried to get it to work but there are diodes and other odd stuff going on back there. I hooked it up inline and the tail light would only modulate one cycle....then the next time you hit the brakes it wouldnt modulate. If you power cycled the bike it would work one cycle again....then stop. I finally went on the other side of the diodes for the MIDDLE set of tail lights and it works. So when I hit the brakes the bottom lights work like stock...but the middle set of tail lights will modulate. Its not AS noticeable that way but its better then nothing. If I hadnt already HAD the modulator I probably wouldnt have bothered.

Does anyone know exactly what kind of bulb the new 2011 Vision 8-Ball uses? H4? H7? Single dual? 75 watt 115 watt?

According to the Polaris Parts Catalog they are H4s.

Specifically THIS is what it says.

4011524 Bulb, 12V, H4

There are two of them....its a dual headlight setup.

Im not sure on the wattage but Im guessing the standard 55/60.

In my reads the 55/60 is the preferred for motorcycles and other vehicles subject to rough terrain, as the higher wattage are apt to fail quicker due to inability to suffer the jarring.

Whatever the stock bulb is its pretty darn bright - Ive never had as good of headlight on anything Ive owned.....cars or motorcycle. Turn on the HID driving light and it gets even better.......seems like a great setup to me.
