Subject: Bushtec Concealed Wire Package

Hello All

I am about to start installing my Bushtec Hitch and I have heard that Bushtec makes a concealed wire harness package for the Vision. I was wondering if anyone has used this? Is this a harness made especially for the Vision? Correct length? Is there a spare wire for 12v? Could there be? (I have heard that it is not recommended, but I need to try it)

I have the wires that Bushtec sent with the hitch and I have what the trailer came with, however, if I can get something that is made especially for the bike and involves minimal splices then I am interested in hearing more....

Not having done a lot of bike electrrical work in the past I am hoping to get some incite as to whether to get the package ($39) or just splice what I have?

Thanks

I'm not sure but I think there are trailer wires in back if you take the bumper off you might find them.
Make sure you don't use real chains use them plastic ones for hanging lamps. Hate to see the trailer come loose and drag you to the ground.

I have a Hitch Doc on the Vision that I use with my Bushtec.  The Hitch Doc allows me to remove the Bushtec Pin/hitch from the bike while not in-use.  Up under the rear of the bike, unseen, remains the Hitch Doc that attaches to the Vision frame.  I drilled and tapped that portion so I could secure the bike side of the Bushtec wire harness.  Unless you get down on your knees and look under the bike, you never see the bushtec wire harnes.
