The Sheriff came and did a report. No ticket. We both have the same copany, but we have our own policies. I had progessive las year when I laid it down. I had a check in less than a week. I hope I don't regret changing companies.

Glad your OK Brother!!!! This gives a whole new meaning to "Chase Car". I know my Lady does her best to follow me to the Fall Ride in Tomahawk but I never let her be right behind me, or anyone else for that matter if possible. Hope your wife will get over this soon. Lost a "Tripoli Shrine" Brother this past summer due to being rear ended in the Milwaukee area. It has made me very paranoid when stopping, I do the 4 tap of the front brake to get the cages attention. Also make sure I am as far to the left side of the car in front of me so I have an escape route if I think the cage in my mirror is not going to stop. Go and find a product called "Bio-Freeze", best stuff for soreness that I have ever found, Horse Liniment is great but the wife would make you sleep in the garage or dog house because of the smell. Get the roll-on and if you get it on your hands wash 6 times to make sure it is washed off. Again, glad you OK, time will heal the wife......

Ride hard, ride fast, but above all - ride safe.....

I don't know how the insurance regs. are in Florida, but on MO. this is considered a "self inflicted" wound, they will not protect you from yourself.
I'm not disputing the truth of your statement, but the rationale of the regulation. The same thing could be said if you ran your car into a jersey barrier. Clearly self-inflicted, yet since the barrier is not owned by the car owner, they'll pay?

Bureaucrats and lawyers can ruin just about anything... and convince the unthinking that it makes sense.

Insurance company didn't bat an eye. Wife's car had $1500 in damage. Spoke to the dealer today. There estimate was $11,000. They said the insurance guy took their estimate, looked at the bike for 30 seconds and left without saying anything. Using NADA prices and that estimate it's a total loss. I owe $14,500. Thank heaven for gap insurance. Now the tough choice. I found the same bike with 18K mikes and Ness 21" wheel for half of what I owe on this one, if it's not sold yet, or get a 2011 and pile on a boatload more debt.

Car had $1500 in damage. Got a check less deductible in 5 days. Not sure what the final estimate on bike was. I made a alot of noise and it was totaled. I have already replaced it with another 2008 that was listed right here in the buy/sell section. Thanks Codfather.
