Is this an easy off piece? I like the look, but am wondering where it attatches and if it pops off easily. Thanks.

Fountain Inn, SC United States
Check the Tech Reference section of this site. There is a Installation note on the luggage rack.

NOT at all.... you have to remove trunk(duh) and passenger back rest bolts into 4 holes in frame.
the luggage rack bolts onto back rest and should be done before you bolt down backrest.
to top it off you have to cut out 2 grooves in closeout panel(dremel cut off wheel or jig saw)
Measure twice and cut once....
mine is off by about 1/8 in on one side...

When I got the passenger backrest and panel, it came with a template that was pretty easy to center, then stick to the underside of the panel. I just followed the lines, and all was well. Getting the rubber grommet that is around the "sissy bar" portion of the backrest to seat properly around the edges in the cuts on the panel was a bit of a PITA, but it still only took me around 10 minutes to get everything seated properly. I keep mine in "street" mode unless we are going on a multi-day trip, then it's out with the passenger backrest, on with the "pod".

I have seen two types of rider back rests for the Vision, in the first phote, Chandler Tom has this type which is very nice, but somewhat high maintenance.
In the second photo you have the type I have which is lower in maintenance cost, but has a lot less features. Both are Visionary.

I second that opinion, this is an essential accessory for a Vision Street that is Stratispherically priced for what it is. Your passenger may also find that it is too short. I have installed the stock passenger backrest on my Vision and found it lacking, I am going to build a custom piece that is a lot taller and can accomodate 2 more speakers.

Got the first backrest before I got the Vision. Definitly the more expensive route. The fringe benifits were great 'till I got a license for it. Still not too bad, but definitly high maintenance.

Dont think an exchange would be good for my health.
