Update, just emailed Frogg Toggs.  They responded that none of their rain suits / pants are heat resistant

.FWIW, they said they have a Frogg Legs and patch that is heat resistant.

You can make your FroggToggs melt proof-pick up and ironing board cover and cut out pieces to fit the inside of the pant legs that might come in contact with the pipes and attach with some liquid stitch to maintain a water proof seal-easy fix. Brain

I ordered two sets of Froggtoggs ($59.99 each set) on Tuesday the 22 of March.
Delivered Friday the 25.
Haven't as yet used them but they seem to be fairly well made.
Wife and I did try them on and they aren't ugly.
There is a bag that comes with them to contain them.
It is about the size of a football once you stuff the outfit into it.

I use leather. The cows are outside thier whole lives. Seriously, I keep my leather jacket and leather riding pants well oiled with mink oil and stay mostly dry. I can't remember the brand name of the pants, but the cover like pants do and go on over your clothes and have legs like chaps. easy on easy off. And I don't have to pack more stuff.

Wetskins. If you live north of the 49th they can be bought at Canadian Tire. Had 1 for a couple years now. Work great, no melting issues..

I'm probably the only one that is doing so, but I've been using the same Sterns rain suit for at least 8 years. Hours of time spent in the rain fishing, hunting, and on the bike. The first seepage I've had was on my last rainy ride. A seem in the pants needed a touch of Goop.

That's it, mink oil. I was going to scotchguard...***annngk***. I'm on my way to the mink farm to squeeze a few drops out...

I need leather pants too, still usin' chaps, I just don't know why unless I'm going to join village people biker gang...

though I will admit, chaps are nice on the opposite gender... I'm just saying...

Tourmaster Sentinel jacket and pants. Stayed perfectly dry everytime I've used them and they also have the option of getting the Nomex on the inside of the pant leg to resist melting on the pipes/engine.

FROGG TOGGS! Absolutely the best, lightest most comfy I have ever worn. And I have the original and have never gotten wet. I live in FL so it gets hot here and then rains for an hour. with the ForggToggs I am cool as a cucumber. Not so with other heavy, non-breathable suits.

Another subject: I just got what I feel are the best "over shoes" for rain prtection. Neos rain boots slide right over your regular riding boots, no hastle, they are 15" tall with adjustment straps over the top of your foot and at the top of the calf. You could walk down a creek with these things on an not get wet feet.............

Just like the Gortex tour jacket I wear waterproof military boots when riding-no need to stop and hop around putting "over shoes" on-they're great for walking and breathe to keep your feet comfortable-great all around boot + Made In The USA-Brian
