My right mirror is fine. My left mirror I can barely see out of. Especially if I am accelerating, Which is bad as I try to merge into traffic on the freeway.
It seems to be secure. Will it be worth the time to complain to the dealer? Is there something I should look for and can fix? Do they all do it?

My right one did the same thing. The mirror had delaminated from the frame. The dealer fixed it under warranty.

My left one was pretty bad, but then I had a little accident, had it replaced and that one is all better now. The right one vibrates now too. I notice they vibrate differently at different rpm's. I don't think there is a fix for this. One guy tried to get us to use an old school trick of adding a tire wheel balancing weight to the back of the mirror, which should change the harmonics enough for it vibrate at a different rpm or not at all. Didn't give it a go, but if i remove them again will probably try it. Complain, see if they will replace it and see if it gets better.

I tightened mine up. Helped a litttle, but still a little blurry. Will check with dealer when I get my pipes put on.

UPDATE - Dealer tightened left mirror and it is rock solid but now I notice vibration in the right mirror. It was probably always there but I didn't notice it because the other one was so bad. I guess I could have the dealer tighten it on my next service. If it is something simple I can do it. But I can't figure out how to get in there.
Does anyone know how to get to it and tighten it?

My left mirror was vibrating a little and it has gone away after tightening the 2 silver allen head screws and the 10mm hex nut that holds the mirror on.  I replaced my front speakers with the J&M aftermarket speakers and while I had the access panel off I tightened down the one that holds the mirror and tightened down the one next to it that holds the front part of the fairing to the back part of the fairing.  I think this one got rid of the vibrations since the fairing itself is a bit more rigid.

HTH,

Tim

BTW, the J&M speakers work pretty good with louder pipes.  Once I put the Ness Big Honkers on my bike, the stock speakers were pretty much useless at highway speeds with these pipes.  The J&M's so far compensate for the louder pipes.

Mine vibrates too! But at a speed that everything vibrates, somewhere Shuttle re-entry velocity, so I don't think it would be much use to tighten anything. Hey, I had to do a shakedown didn't I?
