I just ordered the 21 inch windscreen, but havent received it yet. I found the buffeting very bad with stock, i found it was better to drive on the highway with it down, at least that way, the buffeting was constant. i will let you know what i find with the new one.

Which driving light? Aftermarket HID or OEM halogen? I never turn my OEM halogen cyclops light on as I don't think it does much good. Vic really wasn't thinking when they discontinued the HID on the '12s.

Cannot remember if I have the 20 or 21 inch, think its the 21. I installed last spring. Wife was having the same issue, she is 6 feet tall, with the shield all the way up it gives her almost full wind protection. In the summer when I have it down she was still getting some wind baffle but not as bad with the stock when it was up all the way. She switched from a 1/2 to the Nolan 104 full and problem solved when its down. Recommend the 21 inch

I put a P.I.A.A. HID H4 bulb into the spot the halogen driving light (cyclops) was, HUGE difference! For only $100, I'm not bothered that they discontinued the $500 option at all. If I was to do it all over again, I would have gotten some LED strip lights for the forks for visibility instead of the Clearwaters ($450) and the P.I.A.A. HID. Yes the Clearwaters give off a lot of light, but for the money, the cyclops HID does better.

Nozzledog --- Did you have any issues installing the light (bulb itself, not the entire ballast assy)? I bought an HID light kit and couldn't get the bulb to seat properly. It looked like the flat part of the bulb base was bigger than the flat part of the reflector hole (bottom edge of the hole in the reflector). I tried for the better part of an hour and just couldn't make it fit.

Exactly where did you buy your HID kit?
