Want to install my new magnetic oil drain plug; but I have fresh oil in the bike. You think if I used the "tip overs" on the right side of the bike; that I would be able to remove the OEM plug and install the new one without any loss of oil?

Better to just turn the bike upside down. That way access to the oil plug is easier too! LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

Personally, i think it will still leak out, but there may be less pressure and it may be easier to stem the flow of oil, good thinking!(not sarcasm) I would think these bikes were designed to maintain lubrication when cornering under throttle.(not sarcasm) Oh, don't forget to turn off the bike first...(that was sarcasm)

Just do it quick with a clean pan underneath and pour back whatever gets out-Come On Man!

Just buy an earth magnet and attach it to your oil filter! No oil spilt, no dirty hands. and you dont need the tip overs! Seems like a alot of work when just a few short weeks it will be time for an oil change any how.

Just sayin

just wait.. its not like this drain plug will give you 10 extra Horsepower or anything so why risk/waste a fresh oil change.. there are people on here with over 100,000 miles and they dont have a magnetic oil drain plug so im sure if you wait, your engine will live to see another day....

Just ride the bike and wait. the way we can put on fast miles on these bikes, you will be changing your oil soon.

Yes, it can be easily done. She was not happy about this task, but my wife put on one of my latex gloves, then put her finger against the drain hole while I switched to my new "Dimple" plug. I had a drain pan just in case, but lost no oil and it was all done in seconds.

Your new drain plug will collect some mud at oil changes, but that's it. The Freedom engines are well made! Good luck!

They were playing Christmas songs before Halloween around here. I don't watch TV but someone mentioned that their kids were watching "Frosty the Snowman" on TV in September. (Not that there's anything wrong with FtS/Grinch/etc any time of the year.)
