How about a variety of different range of handlebars for the Vision?....4" up, 6" up, 10" up all the way up to 16" apes?...all I've seen in the market now is STOCK bars or 16" apes!...I'd like to have a set of bars that are about 4" up from stock so the compartment door doesn't hit the left handlebar...also, just another suggestion, how bout STRETCHED SADDLEBAGS??..possibly make the saddlebags 3" longer and 2" wider at the top?...just a thought...

I think WD is working on a set of 2"up/1"back (or the other way around) bars for the Vision.

atvtinker - 2013-03-20 10:32 PM I'm with Johnnyvision on the forkbrace. I would consider one if it looks decent.

+ 3 on the fork brace.

I put Noemtz Designs Heel Blades on my Vision. When I'm using them and my legs are out, my right hamstring is baking from the heat off the rear cylinder especially on a hot Texas summer day. A heat shield would be great. I envision something that bolts to the rear engine mount and just ever so slightly covers the rear cylinder head.

Would it be practical to design an adapter that would bolt where the stock handlebars go and allow any 1" bar set? I'm not sure on since the handle bars sit lower in the body if there would be clearance with "normal" aftermarket handle bars. Might be a way to sell parts to those that can't shell out the money for factory spec bars. Could machine a one piece bottom that sets in with allen screws for a flush fit then have top caps that bolt the bars down like traditional motorcycles. I suppose if there were clearance issues you could make them taller and give them a 1 inch rise or so. Might be a good solution that's cheaper on the manufacture and the customer and open the floodgates for aftermarket bar options.

How about a matched set of wedge shaped shims to change the tilt on the Vision bars. I said matched set because you would want opposite wedge shapes on top and bottom so that the mounting bolts would not end up in a bind from the wedge giving an uneven surface to bolt down against. It would be a relatively low cost way to make lots of available tilts without needing to make lots of different bars.

Probably not. There's not a lot of room under the dash. I asked that when I bought my Vision last year.

Still waiting on my Skid Plate...

It might have been somewhere and I just missed it, but since we're going down this road, how about a method of showing the availability?

Thanks Jon,

Jim

I just add a 1/4" round spacer to raise my bars and just that amount changes every thing. There is still a 1/4" to go

this is kind of hard to explain, but here goes. this is tarp like cover or leather like to cover pass. seat when riding solo. it would stretch across back of driver seat, run up at angle to top of pass backrest. it would serve as wind deflector for trunk and extra storage. it could fasten with 4 quik release twist knobs, one in each corner. been thinking of making one for myself.

I really like the custom handle bars you've done for the VV! Being 5'6" I'm pretty much depending on my back rest to keep me up near the stock bars. The only thing holding me back from ordering your pulled back bars is seeing how the existing cables are reinstalled 2" further back. I've watched your video on getting the bars off (NICELY DONE!). Now I need to see the longer bars go back on. I had longer bars installed on my Road Glide some years back and the cost of the bars was nothing compared to redoing the cables. Thanks! Please keep up the great work!

Banjodan, check out Corbin...I just noticed a new "solo" setup that they have made that is very similar to what you're talking about....except its done in fiberglass...and it replaces the pass seat for a solo one...

how about mounting bracket for attaching driving/passing lights by the headlight instead down on the lower forks.
