I just went over 15k on my 2013 Vision. I know there's a tire change in my near future, so here's my question. If I buy the tires and take them to a dealer, what should I expect to pay for installation?

Some/most dealers won't mount carry in tires-check with them 1st. Most independent shops will mount for $15-$30 (off the bike). The dealer will mount their $700 tires for free.

Yep. Chesapeake Cycles in Annapolis charged me $150.00 recently, to mount a tire that I brought in with my bike; when I had my front drive sprocket seal replaced.

I have an independent motorcycle shop near me that will charge $30.00 for mount and balance; as long as I bring only the wheel to them.

Like the others said, my independent shop charges $35/tire off the bike. Friendly conversation is usually included. Paying in cash also puts me to the front of the line.

i have personally ran into the situation ByteN2it said... !! more than a few times.. so i got fed up and bought the harbor freight bead breaker and tools. i changed my front tire last year in 30 mins.. and for balancing i use dyna beads... so if you can find a dealer or shop to install tires they Dont sell... you are lucky. !!! if you cant. be ready to PAY PAY PAY !! a local HD dealer to me wanted $600 just for the tires !!!!! not including any of the labor.... thats more than my car tires that last 5 years....

Great prices on tires and install. 16k on the Bridgestones and they still look good.
I worked in the tire shop in the service for a while. I do NOT play with tires anymore.
