I just got this solo tour pack #2856780 $229.00 for my vision designed for the vision this past weekend. I have been thinking about a back rest for long rides but this worked great instead of the utopia backrest. I got added room to carry more stuff plus a full back rest that works great. Got rained on and all my stuff stayed dryed. It holds up to 18 gallons worth of cargo storage. The best part is the first three pockets in front are lined with a foil to make it into a mini cooler for my water or pop/soda drinks. I found this to be a good investment for touring and a back rest in one peice.

There isn't room for that bag and the Utopia at the same time, is there?

it is indeed a great bag. Got mine through saddleman and it works nicely. Love all the features and is a compliment to the street version as well.

That is a great pack for the back seat, but please, please, tell me that you didn't buy it through Victory and pay an extra $90.00 (msrp) over what it is listed for on the Saddlemen website ($139.00)!

I have this same bag AND the Utopia backrest, Worked great all the way home from Florida to Chicago. The only thing is you can not lean the Utopia back too far. But then again im 6' tall and 230lbs so it might vary.

I used mine this last week and its the best option that I have added to my vision. I rode a 1446km day on sunday and there wasn't a sore bone in my body when I was done. It took 15 hours. Tons of room and comfort like I have never had before.

I have the Victory bag, my dealer gives me great deals.
Anyways, I have not used it yet but have a question.
The metal loop on the right side of the bag you see in the picture, mine is on the inside of the bag.
So the loop is next to the flexible straps.
So the question is, do you use this loop for stability or is it to attach other items?

Well looks like I over paid for mine and with all the business i do with my local dealer you would think they could have given me a better deal. O'well live and learn. You can bet with the $3500K I have spent extra on my bike at my local dealer I will start to ask for the discount or start to buy at other places. i like to support my local dealer but not if i can save more buying at other places. thanks for the heads up and hope you all enjoy your pak as much as i do mine. Plus i didnt even know saddleman had pack like this for the vision untill today after reading some of your threads.

I've had one for a long time, but it isn't waterproof. Do they make a rain cover for it?

Oddly, Saddlemen makes raincovers for seats and some of their bag models, but not this one. I just received one of these bags an hour ago via FedEx for a 3000+ mile trip starting out this Saturday. I plan on covering it with a trash bag for now and having a real cover made for it when I get back.

big black trash bag works for a rain cover. I rode from Louisville to panhandle of Florida with one on mine. Everything was dry when I pulled into the garage.

All it needs is an upright memory foam pillow. Actually used this combo on a trip from Albq. to Durango. Talk about back support & comfort!

Yes, I have had mine for years. Bought it with a 20% off coupon from my dealer.
I had a large T-bag years ago. It came with this thick plastic bag that I now use in this. I like a bag better than a cover.
2 straps and I carry it into the motel each night. Top left pocket gets all my receipts during my trips.
I have an expandable T-bag that I put my dirty laundry in and strap to my luggage rack.
Being a backrest can't be beat.
Enjoy

I keep a small inflatable camp pillow that has a gel pad insert in the laces on the backrest area of the bag to have the support plus some added comfort.

That's odd, One size smaller Saddleman bag has a rain cover.

You don't need a cover, all you need is to treat it with some waterproofing spray. I used "Coleman" branded spray can waterproofing before my recent trip to Alaska. Worked great and no leaks. I've also used "3M" branded waterproofing with equally good results. It comes with one long adjustable strap (among others) that I hooked to the side D ring in the center of the pack, then around the center stack (above and behind the license plate) and of course attached to the other D ring on the other side. I snugged up that strap tightly which pulled the bag back into the curvature of the passenger seat's backrest. That was the only strap I used to secure the bag to the bike for my 13 night trip and I had ZERO problems with it shifting around. 2 quick disconnects and the bag was off the bike and ready to go inside for the night. I kept my tent, sleeping bag, full faced helmet and/or half helmet, and other "stuff" inside the main compartment. The straps on top of the bag were great for securing my insulated riding jacket when the temperatures were over 90 degrees. I will admit that after the first day I hated it and was sorry I brought it. After the second day I realized that this bag improved my riding posture so much that I had no back discomfort for the entire trip.
