I thought that the Bar Clamp that came with my KK was ugly and mounting on the control cylinders was too in-my-face. I used the piece of flat stock they give you and drilled and tapped my handle bar about Halfway ay to the tree, on the outside. Works great.

Any pics?

I just drilled and tapped a hole on the forward side on the left side of the solid handlebars of my 2009 and then screwed the mounting bolt in for the Kruzer Kaddy and mounted the cup holder right onto that.

Any pics?

I tried putting some pictures up on the Sirius thread, but I am not sure if they will be up there or not.

donetracey - 2011-06-09 1:53 PM I use the reliable Co-Pilot Caddy. She doesn't have much other stuff to do, and she is welcome to sip from my cup while she holds it for me. When I need a sip, she passes me the straw. BONUS: Auto refills whenever I stop - best Drinkholder EVER !

+1 Don, even though I also have a bar mounted cup holder on my bike as well. There's a bonus with your passenger cup holder to boot. Since she's back there the top of her leg makes a great arm rest for the rider when he needs to rest one or the other.

There are other benefits to the "rear passenger cup holder", but we'll leave that to everybody's imagination. ;-)

A former 'passenger' friend of mine used to wrap one or both legs around my waist so her calf made a dandy arm rest too.

I actually used one of those Aluminum Drink Bottles that are so popular these days. I cut it off, smoothed the cut edge, drilled some holes in the bottom for drainage (rain and spills), and I mounted it with a rubber guarded electrical cable strap with a machine screw, lock-nut, and nylon bushing. I placed it between the clutch reservoir and the handlebars. It's sprayed Gloss Black. Since I waited till I could find a wide bottle to use, it takes up to a 32 oz cup in it. I've been riding with it for about 5000 miles with not slippage, spillage, or other mishaps. Total cost to make $4.00 and about an hour to build for those of us who are semi-handy. If anyone is interested, I can post some pictures.

So after much pondering I decided to go with the Ram Ball set up. It is not very pretty but damn it works great.

G187 Welcome to the forum. We are able to put a standard coffee mug in ours, by this I mean the standard size mug that typically has logos and pictures on them that we give as a gift. Also it will work very well with the standard 32oz Styrofoam soft drink cup that most convenience/gas stations have at the soda dispenser. The 32oz fits snug and still balances well, not tippy.

PS One other thing that's great about the Ram mount is that it's quick and easy to remove the cup holder and the ball mount can be used for any other accessory holder that Ram makes, cell phone, gps, mp3 player, map holder..............pistol holster.......  LAPTOP!.......... just kidding ;-)   They are somewhat universal in this way.

I wanted to install a cup holder on my bike so I could put a to-go cup from say a fast food place. The ram Ball cup holder will hold a very large cup in that sense. I put 44 oz. Sam's Club styro cups in it yesterday will no issue.

Looks like you have it mounted into the mirror bolt hole on the front brake master cylinder. Did it come with that mounting, or was it special.

32oz plastic cup from any fast food or gas station. I prefer the McD's foam cup. it keeps the drink cold

I believe with the 2010's and later the threaded hols for mirror mounting are factory. It is very easy to drill and tap the holes yourself if your bike doesn't have them. Ram offers the 1 inch ball mounts with both metric and standard threads. The ball mount sold by victory is metric, I believe 10mmx1.25.

Just installed this Chubby Cups Jr. Cost $40, seems solid and well built, but time will tell whether it holds up.

Does anyone know the purpose of the two extruded hook-like things on the RAM cup holder?
