Sullivan, IN United States | Sounds great, however those ole Indiana winters are going to keep my vision idle for a few months. I was riding the other day with temps in low 40's, but as soon as the snow hits and the salt trucks hit the streets that's all till spring time I am afraid. |

Same here John. Enjoying every everyday I can ride since I know winter is at hand and it'll be months till the bike sees the streets.
I'm contemplating adding a power booster/eq the the audio system over the winter. Also considering an sequential LED taillight upgrade if I really feel confident. |

IM thinking about the 99 led lights in the trunk, then remove the front forks and send them out to have the fluid changed. btw i was out your way this past summer rode from pittsburgh, pa to topekia kansas.. the Vision was perfect the whole time! |

Now as for me, I am kicking around the idea of putting carbon fiber wrap on my console, only thing is when it comes to yanking off plastic parts sometimes it just doesn't work out like I think it should. When I was in Terre Haute at the Vic dealers this past summer I saw another VV with the carbon fiber wrap and I thought it looked very nice. My VV is black so it should look very good when finished???? Also a Utopia back rest would be nice, but I am not sure how much room it would take away from my passenger. |

I did mine on my Black 09 and it is still looking pretty good. It comes apart pretty easy. I also installed a Utopia seat back . . . I did the removable kind. Used it a couple times, but I ride with my wife two up and it does cut into her room, so we seldom use it.

Pittsburgh, PA | I just installed my utopia removable back rest this morning. I had the wife sit on the bike for a few minutes and she thought it would be OK to use it for 2 up riding. I really like the feel of the backrest so I hope she doesn't change her mind. If she does I'll take it off and put it in the saddlebag for those 2 up rides. |

Factory back rest already installed. Very nice product - quick-out, just in the right spot for my back and looks great.

Sullivan, IN United States | Taz456. When you plunged the knife into your seat just what did that feel like? I know the 09 VV are not set up for a factory backrest so a little surgery is required. It just makes me a little nervous when I thnk I am going to have to do that. |

Have you seen the video of that guy cutting into his seat on Youtube for the Utopia - Vision install? That would be me.
The main thing to think about when cutting is:
With you hand under the seat where the bracket will be installed....aim for your hand.
So....You need to stab the knife in at an angle that allows the knife to slide along the inside shell of the seat.
By the way...Yes, I love my Utopia backrest!

Sullivan, IN United States | My VV sets in a n unheated garage all winter long in Indiana. Can somebody tell me how the carbon fiber wrap does during these conditions. I can visualize the wrap curling up on the ends and shrinking. Thanks. JN |

Perry Hall, MD | Would like to wash it. Otherwise just plan on riding this winter.
Showed minus 8 temp this morning (not sure what that meant in Fahrenheit) going to the office. Sucked when the security system wouldn't let me in and I had to retrace the 30 + mile ride. Oh well it was a reason to go for a ride anyway and decided to add another 30 miles for the fun of it. Interesting when I passed a HD dealer. The parking lot was full of cages, but the only way to see a bike was to look through the windows. The Vision sure makes a difference!

Sullivan, IN United States | Got my center console repainted to match the VV, should take care of the reflection problem. Now I would like to mount a luggage rack, but I am not wanting to go the $400 for a Vic rack. Are there any other options? |

| Did the dash and now want to do more. Wish there was heat in the garage but then I would have to have 5 jobs to keep up what I would do.
