Pittsburgh, PA | I had my first warranty repair today. Some might remember a few months back i was complaining about my Green (N) light on the dash board was burned out and how it is not as simple as replacing a bulb as there is no bulb to replace. it is an entire Sealed unit. well i went to a dealer and shown him how the Green (N) light was out. He ordered the new dashboard and was shocked it was over $800 ! then he called me to say he had to get it authorized first.. 1 day later it came back that it was a GO.. no one wanted to see my bike and the dealer allowed me to take the part off and bring it to him for a simple swap. (did this because of how far the dealer is away from me and i couldnt leave the bike). The dealer said he got NO hassle at all about replacing it..
NOW my question is. since i replaced it. all lights are working fine BUT... now my mileageS say (0) accross the board on eveything.. i thought the dashboard/speedo was just a display. was it actually the memory as well? That might explain the price!? lol |
